Hi everyone! In this video, I am trying something a little bit different! As I mentioned on my last video, I want to use my channel as a motivation to tackle bigger art projects this year. To do so, I thought a “Vlog” format would be better than my usual format of video, where I shoot the whole video at once. So, this week, I’m trying this out, taking you on the journey of my first art subscription box. It is a gouache subscription crafted by Sarah Burns and Craftamo. Each month, I will receive one of these boxes with brushes, Shinhan gouache tubes, and a tutorial to paint a new landscape! I unboxed the first box right when I received it, but then took my time to do the swatches and follow the tutorial. I had so much fun on the first box, I can’t wait to receive the others 😊

Chapters:
00:00 - 06:07 Unboxing!
06:07 - 08:46 Swatches
08:46 - 13:24 New bucket of water, concept sketch & color study (with music)
13:24 - 14:39 Final thoughts & final painting (voiceover)

Sorry for the sound, I’m trying to find ways to have a less saturated sound, but with my camera I can’t seem to get a nice sound & a nice image (as my camera has to be quite close to me). I am trying more and more to use an external mic’, but I can’t always capture sound with it, while filming because it has to be plugged on my computer ☹ I you have any tips for getting a better sound, or any affordable mic' that I could plug on my camera, I'm all ears out!

More of me 😉
I am blogging (more or less) regularly. I’m sharing some insights on how I plan my paintings, what art supplies I own, what are my go-to for plein-air painting, etc. So, if it sounds interesting, go check it out: jodabblesinart.blogspot.com/
And as always, you can find me on my Patreon & my Instagram, for more art: www.patreon.com/Jodabbles & www.instagram.com/jo.dabbles_/
I also give some watercolor classes on Wooksill, so join me there if you’re interested (the website is in French, but I can of course offer classes in English)! www.wooskill.com/catalog/11357
