Omg finally!!! A person that actually explains how to really do this!!! Just subbed

My momma did my hair like this only with strips of fabric. We called them rag curls.
-
thanks for the tips, super helpful!! i did. sock curls tonight and i will see the results tomorrow edit: it was cute! the curls weren’t too tight they loosen up as the day goes on. i would recommend dampening your hair before you do it and maybe adding some product to your hair. have a great day!

So nice to see a newer generation using the same things we used years ago

Literally spent 30 minutes trying to get my hair around the socks. I would've been done doing my hair with a curling iron by now😂. But I must admit after I did my left side nearly then moved to my right then undid my left side to try again that it looked good. I know I need more practice so will keep trying because this will eventually become a time saver. Thanks for the tutorial.

JESUS THANK YOU I’VE BEEN LOOKING FOR ANSWERS

Thank you!!! I did this with leggings but it went exactly like your “don’t” side and I had no idea what I did wrong! Will try again x

I am 63 years old an my Mom put "rag" curls in my hair when I was young using pieces of old towel. Same thing.
-
you make it look so easy but for me theres always the one side that turns out better T-T
-
Welp, saw it a little too late. I just did the "Don'ts" last night. 😭 Thank you very much for the tutorial, this is the best one I've seen.

Am I the only one that does a really uncomfortable heatless curl method to the point where it’s hard to even sleep only to have the curls stay in for five minutes the next morning 💀💀

Ok I'm trying this tonight curious how it will look like on my hair... And I finally have an excuse not to throw away my favorite socks because they have holes lol

For really long hair... I use a Terry cloth bathrobe belt tie or a twisted tea towel (aka flour sack towel--it's thin cotton w/ a smooth nap also great for scrunching bc it doesn't yield frizz). Fold into a triangle then twist into a roll/log or use the robe tie as is. Place the center atop your head and do the hair twisting like normal. A light spritz of water on dry hair will aid the curl to set. I twirl each side into a space bun and secure w/ a scrunchie. Holds overnight. Key point, as she said: don't twist the sock as it'll just untwist upon letting go. Just twist the hair--twisting the hair AND coiling tightly w/ coils close together for a stronger curl.

for me, i found it really hard to keep the sock in place while doing the curls, so i used a hair sectioning clip to hold it in place and it made the entire process so much easier!

Your hair is absolutely gorgeous 😳

There are sooo many videos on doing these curls, but this is the best one I've seen! Most practical explanation and helps to troubleshoot what you could be doing wrong! Subbed! ❤
-
Finally someone who just made this clear 😌
-
Me watching this the morning after I did the curls and they are so bad😊
-
Thank you!!! No one ever explains it like this and I had given up on it altogether. This clears up some confusion. Here we go, I'm gonna try it again 😅

I think I just saw the light! Finally one of these videos isn’t just obvious or click bait this was super helpful thanks!
