i just removed my starter from my 76 F250 Saturday, best to remove the top bolt first then the bottoms. i have a video on it too!!

I almost gave up on the top bolt but watched your video one more time. Got it!

Excellent video! I like how you remind everyone to be patient. That top bolt indeed is a pain. Thanks for sharing this!

Great tutorial man ! Thanks 🙏🏾

Thanks for sharing. The camera angles really help to give me a sense of where everything is located.

Great video. Working on 2005 Lincoln Aviator

Thank you! Exactly what I needed to know. That top bolt doesn't play nice for sure.

Great video man. That camera work was totally awesome! Thanks!!

Great video. When I replaced mine the top side and top bolt was cleaner than my whole truck🤣🤣🤣. I replaced mines the exact same way. once again great video. thanks.

Break off sylonoid Much easier!!! I promise! U go from kid hands to medium adult hands!!!
-
It's even harder to get to on a 4x4 F150! I will probably remove the solenoid from the starter to be able to get to that DAMN top bolt!

To line up the socket for the BS bolt use the 2nd round dimple as a marker ,, from the bolt that is attached to the starter ..looks like a 7 or 8mm bolt ...2nd dimple to the right of it

This worked for me. 1 2.5 inch deep socket husky brand 13 millimeter, a 5 inch extension and a craftsman low profile ratchet or like the man has on the video. That length will get pass the starter and not interfere with the other engine components in front of the starter. You will have just enough clearance. DO NOT BUY THE AMAZON 39.99 STARTER!! OR YOU WILL BE REPLACING THIS AGAIN VERY SOON!! Hope this helps
