The 2018 Milwaukee Brewers were one win away from their first World Series appearance in 36 years. Their team was fantastic and fun...but they seem to have already fallen out of memory...

  • If you took that 2018 offense and put it with the pitching from the last 2 seasons that team could contend for a World Series for sure
  • As a brewers fan that watched it all in real time. That was definitely our best shot and I still get sad thinking about it
  • As a brewer fan, thank you for this video. September of 2018 was the most fun i have ever had watching baseball, along with 2011. From clinching a playoff berth against the cardinals to winning game 163 against the cubs, it was magical. I miss when we had guys that could hit consistently. People don't make youtube documentaries like this about the brewers often so thank you. That 2017 team could also have a video in the future. A team with a bunch of no names with 2/3 of them out of the league a half decade that nearly made the playoffs.
  • As a Cubs fan, 2018 Lorenzo Cain still gives me nightmares. If there was runners on you simply were not getting him out. Felt like every time we played the Brewers he would hit a go ahead single than make a highlight reel catch the next inning. Him and Yelich back to back was cancerous.

Things I remember from this Brewers team as a Brewers fan: 1) Yelich/Braun back to back to walk off the Cardinals. 2) Winning almost every start Jhoulys Chacin pitched. 3) Hating Manny Machado and Chris Taylor with all my heart. 4) Jesus Aguilar being voted into the Home Run Derby 5) Orlando Arcia being so cute 🥺🥺🥺 Awesome video ♥️
  • I still remember exactly where I was watching Game 7. I sat in the booth of a bar here in Madison and stared at the floor for legit 10 minutes wondering if this was it, if this was as close as the Brewers would get in my lifetime to the World Series. That 2018 team will always be a special team to me.

I'm really glad you guys made this video. I've gone to the 2018 Brewers' BBRef page more times than I can count. Who would've thought that that magic carpet ride would be the peak and that 5 years later we're still chasing that rainbow

As a life long Brewers fan that is constantly put off with how much "experts" either totally ignore the Brewers or sell them short and continuously put the Cubs and Cards ahead of them, I can't tell you how much I enjoyed this video. Thank you so much for making this! We have a good ball club here in Wisconsin and while yes, they do disappoint at times, and the owner has a bad wrap for being cheap, you'd be hard pressed to find a more supportive fan base. Again thank you and I'll sign off with a good ole fashioned, "F the Cubs" :)

I went to the game 7 NLCS. Such a great team ending in such a depressing way.

Growing up a diehard brewer fan in the Chicago area, nothing was better than game 163. I was in high school and one of my teachers (who ended up being my favorite one by the time i graduated) put the game on the smartboard and let me watch the whole class time. After Keon made the catch, I got to walk around school and celebrate in the faces of all the cubs fans who did the same to me in 2016. That 2018 was so special, and seeing them in person in the NLCS was a dream come true. so many memories from that year. Thank you for this video, it was a bittersweet trip down memory lane. Thank you.
  • I was at game 7. When Yelich hit that Home Run in the first, it felt like destiny. Everyone felt like we were going to win. Then Taylor made that unbelievable catch and completely took the air out of the stadium. What a fun team to watch.
  • I still remember to this day. I was on an exchange program and got to see the Brewers, Yelich hit one out, Cain got HBP and ran into a wall before being pulled, then Hader came in for the save. This was my first taste of MLB and it was one to remember.

I really wanted them to win a World Series while Bob Uecker is still with us. For all he's done for Milwaukee and the Brewers faithful, I feel we need to win one for Bob.
  • One thing you forgot to mention in terms of their pitching staff was Wade Miley coming out of nowhere to be their best pitcher down the stretch. He went 5-2 with a 3.59 Era and a 159 ERA + that yr. As a Red Sox fan, I actually wanted to see Boston VS Milwaukee in the WS. Not just because it'd be an easier series, but because I was happy to see Miley (A former Red Sox player in 2015) doing well again.

Reliving that 2018 postseason was traumatizing, but I respect and love that you made this video. I loved that team so much, Game 2 in Milwaukee was the killer in that series. If we close out that win and go up 2-0 heading to LA, we win that series. But unfortunately, Jeffress lost steam in the playoffs. He was awful. Had such a great season and it sucks it ended that way
  • @Nickster_28
Game 1 of the 2018 NLCS had all the feels. I actually attended that game. Amazing atmosphere!
  • @VeeMarbles
This team brought me so much joy, i remember the tigers game i went to that year where they won 6-5 that i went to. love that someone not a fan of this team understands just how special this team was. few lucky bounces and we could have been in the World series where you never know what will happen. That team was special man
  • @keegans7092
If the 2021 pitching staff was combined with the 2018 offense they would be a dynasty
  • I was at NLCS Game 7, and it was sad to see the Brewers fall short. That year was their best shot!
  • @sokonek1
2018 was so much fun. Just wish they could have finished it
