Does anyone else think it was a shame, that the greatest entertainer and singer on the planet's first appearance live in 9 years was not recorded by professional cameras and the best audio available at the time for posterity?

First time hearing this, love it, i never got to see him in person, but will see him in heaven singing with the angles, he and I are the same age 87 next birthday, did make it to Graceland for my 83 birthday, and if I make it to 90 I may go again. I love Elvis .......

Elvis was the only king of the rock'n'roll!!!!
  • "Elvis was something that comes along about in two thousand years. I remember the night Frank Sinatra had a party for his daughter Nancy, after her Las Vegas show. The room was crammed with stars, the biggest ones. But when Elvis came in, everything stopped. All eyes were on him." (Jerry Schilling)

Amazing! I think this is the best true-to-recording performance of his songs in Vegas.
  • Elvis never got over being so mistreated when he first began..even preachers calling him vulgar from the pulpit.Elvis was hurt deeply by all those horrible comments and breaking of his records. His mother felt it too.He was raised with good values in the church and he did not understand the negativity. But he did win over most of his critics but the hurt stayed with him..thus the making fun of himself, the self deprecating remarks we iften hear from him.He was such a sweet , sensitive man.Long live his unparalled legacy.
  • @KingKenny.

Whata man, never came to england or anywhere to tour, apart from service in 58-60. God damn parker and his control, elvis could of done so much, if he were allowed and when he wanted too back in the early 70s, perhaps then he would of had the zest to stay fit and alive. Thats history for you, we'll never know.
  • There’s this ”youthful spirit” from both Elvis as well as from the band that’s just epic - top top notch!!
