Catholic leaders have accused Israel of violating human rights and freedom of religion norms by attacking mourners carrying the coffin of Al Jazeera journalist Shireen Abu Akleh.
Hospital officials also condemned Israeli forces for storming the hospital where her body was, saying there was no justification.
Al Jazeera's Imran Khan reports from occupied East Jerusalem.

If that's how the Israeli police treat a murdered journalist, you can imagine how much worse they are to ordinary families.
  • For those who do not know, this shows a snippet of what the Palestinians are going through. This should be condemned by every right thinking human being.
  • Too much injustice done to this people for so many years and not many around the world seem to notice.
  • I am Muslim and I stand with my Christian Brothers and sisters against Israeli aggression

They did all of this while they knew there was press and cameras everywhere. Just imagine what they do when there’s no camera. Absolutely horrifying. Palestinians need international protection.

You kill someone and then torment the bereaved and the mourners, so barbaric!!
  • lf they behave this bad when the world is watching, can you imagine the torture they inflict on these people when the cameras are off.
  • Here from South Africa know all too well what it's like to live under apatheid. Israel is on the wrong side of history .

Israel: "Our problem is Hamas only" Also Israel: attacks a funeral proceeding, disrespecting EVEN the dead
  • I appreciate Shireen's brother for his statement, the most High God bless him and his family and also may God bless Shireen's soul 🌷🕊️✝️💕
  • Murder the lady then attack her funeral ? this is unheard of

It's crazy how my local supermarket asks me to donate 40 p to Ukraine every time I try to complete payment but has never asked me to pay for a Palestinian cause. This is terrible. If this happened in Ukraine, everyone would be up in arms and rightly so but why treat brown people's in particular Palestinian people different? Why?

When you thought this couldn't get any worse... we see this footage. There are no words that can describe this unforgivable display of blatant disrespect - a shameful day for Israel.
  • They were scared of her even when she was in her coffin and now scared of her more when she is in her grave.
  • Thanks all church clergymen for giving Shrinne Abu Akleh justice and full supports☺️☺️☺️🙂

International law applies to everyone except for the Israelis. For people who are just tunning in this has been going on for over 70 years and have been getting away with it for that many years which tells me no one will be held accountable.
