STRAIGHT ASIAN HAIR FINALLY A VIDEO THAT I CAN RELATE TO
  • Props to you honey. My arms are dead after I French braid my hair 😂👏🏼
  • Tips, when you do this hair style make sure your hair is damp it will help with the curling process, also use a curling cream when you do this hair style because once again it makes the curls defined and helps with the fizziness. Hair is different for every I have curly hair but this is what I do maybe it’s a little different for people with straight hair. Good luck if you do it again!
  • All is gals with straight hair want curls and all the girls with curls want it as the opposite

The 2 quickest and easiest methods for overnight curls (best for straight hair) are wrapping it around a hair donut on the top of your head for looser waves and twisting it flat against your head for tighter waves. For the donut put your hair into a high ponytail in front of the crown, slip the hair into the donut, separate the ponytail into two sections and wrap them around the donut in opposite directions. Pin the donut to your hair so it doesn't move. For the flat twists, separate your hair into three sections, two on the sides that go down to the nape of the neck and a mohawk section on the top that also goes down to the nape of the neck as well. Twist each section in either direction flat against the head until you get to the end of the nape, then wrap the remaining length of the hair into a pin curl/bun and secure with bobby pins. You can lightly spray your hair with water for both methods before or after you warp or twist, but I also recommend applying a volumizing mousse to your hair before you wrap or twist to give the hair some hold. Make sure hair is only damp and not wet or it won't dry by morning. When you wake up unravel and unwrap gently so as not to create frizz. These methods take only 5 -10 minutes to put in and they are much easier to sleep on. the donut method gives more volume on the top and they are available in both small, medium and large so you can vary the size of the waves. The twisting method gives a tighter wave :-)

Thank you for using the correct term (BANTU KNOTS). The results are lovely.

If you twist less tight, it will be easier to sleep on and manage the takedown. Also have you tried French twist? It’s easier and will give similar results. Finally, put a serum on the hair before you twist it to help it be less frizzy. (Disclaimer, I don’t have your type hair, but I think this would work for you. ) x Rose UK

Aw the knots themselves look so cute on you! If you want a slightly different method that's easier to sleep in: tightly flat twist your hair against your scalp (like cornrows but twists instead of braid) and bantu knot the free ends against the knape of your neck. It gives curly waves, kinda like a 30s flapper style. I'm not sure how it would look on long hair, but it would be interesting! Great job!

The easier way I’ve found to get amazing curly hair overnight and it’s comfortable to sleep in is to grab a medium sized section of your hair and separate it into 3 sections like you would to braid it. It takes a little bit of practice to do this but basically you take the first section, twist it and hold it in your mouth or something, and then twist the rest of the sections. You’re going to take those sections and braid them as tight as you can and then attach them with an elastic at the end. Because they’re braided, they don’t come undone. And then repeat that around your head doing like 4-5 braids. When you wake up you undo the braids and you have beautiful twisted curls when you separated them and they look really natural. Whenever i do it i have people ask if my hair is naturally like that

lol! Once I read the the Kim K comments I couldn’t unhear it 🤣 it’s so true tho!
  • @katieseder7004

Julie Your hilarious.. "My arms are dead" "My head hurts" buns too tight. You remind me of Kim Kardashian. Your hair came out great, a little rastafarian.
