  • I'm just a lowly truck driver that loves deep topics. Listening to this conversation blows my mind! It's like I get the overall understanding but the in-between talks just turn my brain into spaghetti, lol. It amazes me how Lex can interpret such complicated subjects with so many different guests and when he says he's asking a dumb question it's like he is doing it for my sake! My hat goes of to Lex for bring these topics to all people including less educated people as myself to help people like me to understand the subject. Many thanks to you Lex and please don't stop.

Lex knows we love alien talk👽🛸
  • First time hearing of Robin and I’m absolutely obsessed. Thank you, Lex!
  • This guy is my hero. I'd rather have a conversation with Robin than anyone else on earth right now. We need to hear more from Robin this is incredible.
  • @orionspur
This is my favorite eposide of all time. A shining example of how honest, concise, ego-free reasoning can be extraordinary and worthy of the highest admiration.
  • @OleHippy
What a tour de force! I started listening about 12AM and couldn’t leave this conversation until sometime after 4AM. I will have a price to pay in the morning but it was sooo worth it. Thank you Alex, thank you Robin.
  • This was one of the best 4 hrs spent. I had to pull over numerous times just to give it 100% of my attention. I've listened to a lot of podcasts but this episode specifically was one of most enjoyable conversations I've listened to. It's more about humanity than aliens. Seriously listen to the whole thing. Thank you both for one of my most favorite podcast experiences ever. I actually felt like I was in the room. Totally ridiculous but it was that good. I have shared the shit our of this! Thank you both!

You should invite Robin back regularly, e.g. annually, and keep exploring all of the wonderful tangents you discovered in your previous conversation(s) with him!
  • Hasn’t even been an hour this morning and you’ve already brought joy to hundreds of people. Half of which are just happy that the amazing content was released so early in the morning. Thank you guys for an interesting conversation.
  • I came for the UFO talk but stayed for the absolutely fascinating talk of hypothetical alien civilizations and how they might function. This was a great one!
  • @scrubfive9239
At 4 hours right now and I'm sad that it will be over in 13 minutes. This was such an amazing and thought provoking conversation! Half the work day flew by as if it was just half an hour. Huge thanks to Robin for coming on and of course Lex for hosting and asking such great questions.
  • @evanhanke3396
Ive thought about death regularly since the age of 10. I constantly mourn the passage of time. Thats one of the main reasons why I respect Lex. He sits with the pain and meditates on it, where everyone else told me not to think about it.
  • Imagine waking up and the first thing you see is a new lex podcast
  • What a fantastic conversation. Playful, speculative, rigorous, yet humane in the way I always expect from Lex. Would love to see more episodes with Robin Hanson.
  • Robin Hanson is on another level of genius, not just his understanding of concepts but his eloquent ability to articulate those concepts. This was a really enjoyable experience to listen to.
  • Hanson made the Great Filter concept in 1996. Love that you came across his Grabby Aliens theory!
  • @kaylacarr2200
My excitement upon discovering this fascinating four hour episode on one of my favorite topics is unmatched. Thank you, Lex! Forever grateful for your content. -Kayla, your biggest fan 💜
