Manning Avenue Overpass - March 15, 2024

Published 2024-04-04
In March, Manning Avenue was closed between Cedar and Maple avenues in Fresno County to begin construction of an overpass. The overpass will serve as a grade separation and will take traffic over the BNSF railroad and future high-speed rail tracks. The structure will be 342 feet long and 40 feet wide.

I am wondering how heavily used these roads are. Instead of spending $$$ on grade separation works, can we save some money by simply close out the less heavily used ones and force people to detour?

Interesting to see that the tracks are already there, altough not layed down properly, while the building of the grade seperation hasn´t started yet. Where there problems in the planning or was that planned for the whole time?
