  • I lived in Vegas from 1987 to 1993 and my dad worked for a construction company that helped build the Excalibur.
I remember going to the grand opening and all the workers and their families were invited to a free grand buffet and an exclusive jousting performance. It was such an amazing experience and being a 6 year old kid made it even better!
  • Surprisingly Excalibur is less of a dump than the Luxor. Stayed at both over the last 3 months
  • Excalibur is one of the cheaper options usually on the strip, I know that people complain about the rooms being not the best. But for majority of the time I am not in the room and I am out and about enjoying Las Vegas. I only really go to the room just to shower/sleep. Love them videos, keep them coming!
  • Excalibur was my first Vegas hotel experience so will always be special for me
  • I went there a lot in the 90's. back then the upstairs was extremely family oriented. They ran it much like an old castle. They had puppet shows, and magic shows and other entertainment. As someone who was a huge medieval fan, spending all day upstairs as a kid in the 90's was so much fun. Now it's just a shopping mall, nothing special about it anymore. it's a shame.
  • The only way the resort fee goes away at this point is if the state regulates it away which the state should. I know the hotel prices will just jump 50 bucks a night to make up for it but I would rather see 150 a night vs this nonsense of 100 per night plus a 45 dollar resort fee.
  • Google reminds me that I was at the Excalibur exactly four years ago this week. We had an amazing 11 night stay when we went from Manchester,England. I am sure I would have returned by now if it was not for covid. None of us are getting any younger so I am looking at going back now. These videos by you,Norma,Jaycation,Matthew, etc, etc are a fantastic source of entertainment and education for us tourists, especially when you tell us about things off strip that are not very well advertised.Just a tip from me is to ask for a room in the resort tower,as it is easier to get to the pool. Thanks and stay safe.
  • I stayed at the Excalibur in March for my first Vegas trip. I got a good deal booking during the holiday season. 18 dollars a night. I was in a room on the tenth floor. It was fine and relatively clean. There wasn’t any noise from the other rooms.

There are two benefits Jacob didn’t mention. The airport is close to the Excalibur. A great benefit if you have an early morning flight. The second is the buffet. 30 dollars. It’s open from around 10-3. Lots of food, including a meat carving station and a made to order crepe station. Ate around 11, skipped breakfast, and was full till dinner around 6.
  • I’m so happy that you gave a positive review. Our family LOVES this hotel. Very budget friendly and all the staff we met are very helpful and lovely 😊
    TEAM EXCALIBUR 👍🏻
    Awesome video ‼️
    Thank you
  • Just back from a four day stay with my two sons for a 20 year Anniversary of our first stay at the Excalibur Hotel and Casino. Had a great time, used the pool and yes close to the airport! Will be back in September. The staff is great, making a stay here easy.
  • I remember the first time I stayed at the E xcalibur it was during rodeo week in 1998. It was my first time ever in Las Vegas and we checked into the hotel about 9:30 at night and in the morning when I woke up I open the curtains and they put us on the side of New York New York with the roller coaster going I was in such awe of it. The most spectacular view I ever seen.
  • Stayed here a few times, was here for opening weekend as a kid. Family friendly and not bad if you are on a budget, but rooms are definitely in need of renovation. Great video.
  • I ❤️ The Excalibur! Always a solid stay and can't beat the price! I've probably stayed there over the years more than any other property. Love that has an indoor connection to Luxor and Mandalay... Never have to step outside to enjoy 3 separate resorts.👍👍
  • I gotta say, I love your hotel reviews. It's nothing fancy for the rooms, it's what the average person would choose. Simple and to the point without any extra effects and unrelated topics. Thanks for all you do!
  • Been hanging out here since the early '90s. #1 bartender at the Lobby Bar has been there since the opening in 1990, and IMHO he's the best bartender IN TOWN. He's become a good friend. What saddens me about MGM is they've lost sight of who their customer is. This place is clearly for the "low roller" crowd, not the ballers who want to hang at the new posh properties and don't mind paying outrageous prices for everything. They used to understand this, and drinks were cheap, food was reasonable, etc. Now everything is gouge city. This is the reason people flock to places like South Point, who caters to that same customer, but actually knows how to do it, and do it well. We spend a ton of time there now too.
  • @jvfran2
Jacob, the production quality of your videos has been increasing tremendously over the last year or so. The first 20 seconds alone has some great shots. As always, great videos!
  • Props to another generally positive review of a lower end property and taking it for what it is and not just trashing it like most others do
  • Excalibur hotel is very first place I stayed at Las Vegas and our stays happened around Halloween 1997. San Diego/Las Vegas trip happened during Colorado's 97 blizzard and we are on very last flight out from Colorado Springs airport on morning of the blizzard.
  • @love_reka_777
❤❤❤🎉 ty I’m going with my 4yr old 8/16/23 We are Ubering there from airport. He’s obsessed with titanic so we are going to Luxor for their Titanic exhibit then the Mandalay Bay for the shark reef museum. He LOVES 🦈 sharks too! I’m excited to stay at Excalibur!
  • I stayed at the Excalibur on both my trips in 2022, and in March of 2023. Highly underrated property. Sure, the rooms aren't plush like those on the center Strip, but it is as good as the places I've stayed at downtown (without all the noise). I don't go to Vegas to spend a lot of time in my room, so this fits the bill. It's close to other properties and a short stroll to go to a Golden Knights game. The casino has a nice vibe to it. Thanks for putting together this video. I wondered why the tram I took skipped the Luxor, but now I know I was on the wrong track, thanks to the video!
