What an inspiration! I wish I knew back when I was raising my 3 sons, about food storage, gardening, etc. I’m 75 & have been prepping for 2 yrs. I’m a complete beginner but I would like to know more about canning. What a beautiful young lady you are❤

I don't know if it's considered preparing but I got long needed glasses. I picked them up this morning. I am going to Dollar General for a major prepping haul soon.

I don’t garden. So the next best thing I do is buy fresh stalks of celery, peppers, whatever is on sale & in my budget. I have a Cosori Food Dehydrator that l absolutely love using. I’ll dehydrate those veggies & make my own celery powder, etc. I also love water bath canning as opposed to pressure canning. The easiest thing l’ve canned? Apple butter, navy beans, & raw veggies like carrots. Now I’ve run out of room in my pantry. Time to re-organize it. ❤️l’m almost 67, & started learning these methods of food preservation in 2021! Never too old to learn y’know…

Hey Tori you can re fill those green propane cans Wal mart or any hardware store sell the adapter you just need a 20 lb cylinder or bigger ones will do it saves money too beautiful lady hope y’all are well and thriving it looks like y’all are from the video 😀🙏🏻👍

This is a good motivator. What have I done to prep this week? Not a whole lot. We had to get a new lawnmower... OMG have you seen the price for just a basic lawnmower lately?!?! 😲😲😲 AND I see a new air-conditioner in our near future. I guess I'll have to just get a few cans of something extra on my next trip to the grocery store. I may have to do a few pantry meals in the next couple of weeks. No biggie just gonna roll with it. 👌 Thanks for the video. 👍 Don't forget your cinnamon.

I have a Harvest Right freeze dryer and I have been freeze drying foods to have on hand. Also, I have lots of things growing well in my greenhouse . I had so many tomatoes and canteloupe last year and I freeze dried them . I canned 5 quarts of baked beans, 4 pints of black refried beans, and 4 pints baked beans today. My fave is canning meat. It good food fast! ❤

I also bought lamp oil and lamp wicks from Amazon for emergency lighting. (I have a couple oils lamps)

Great tips👌 wow, great price on honey, uts a small fortune in all the stores here in Bronx! I paid $8 for a small jar of organic honey. Not cheap but its part of my long term shelf life pantry. I also bought SPAM fir about $3.50 on sale, the turkey flavor was pretty good. I stocked up on Swiss Miss hot chocolate, was on sale. I also have a nice amount of black peppercorns, they last about two years before going stale, still edible even stale tho. Best of luck Tory

Good finds! Don't forget cinnamon 😉 I haven't stocked anything this week as we're using our extra $ prepping our summer season! We're about to start harvesting spring stuff: snow peas, cabbages are close, and some of the carrots will be ready next week too!
