I wanted to check out AFMF2 in some games and genres I feel it can work pretty good despite its short comings. I feel these scenarios present a more positive look for this driver based technology. What do YOU think? Let me know in the comments.

AFMF 2 is amazing! After trying it i believe Frame Gen is the future. I have a 165hz monitor, and when i run AFMF2 and lock baseline fps to 80fps, AFMF2 boosts it to a solid 160fps, and wow it completely transforms the experience with unnoticeable input lag or artefacts. When very high refresh rate monitors (240hz+) become cheaper it will be glorious to experience! Often games get cpu bottlenecked above 100fps, so being able to turn on AFMF and boost it to 200fps will be a gamechanger. Great video as always <3

Considering AFMF 2 greatest achievement is a lot less latency, image quality will be the main focus in later versions, it will just get better. Lossless Upscaling still has better image quality but latency and performance hit are more noticeable, a tradeoff for each technology. It was stated AMD will focus more on software development from now on, competition will be fierce. Looking forward to FSR4 and AFMF 3.
  • Great. Video loved it. I'm a middle of the road gamer. Can't afford a 4080. So I'm always looking for ways to improve my frame rate. Love star citizen. I think it's gonna blow people away in the next year or 2.😊

Framegen is awesome for people with high refresh displays cause it can help match the framerate to the refreshrate of the display quite nicely, like f.e. I have a Samsung Odyssey G6, which is a 1440p 240Hz Display and with most modern games you won't hit 240 FPS even on high end machines, while 120 FPS is somewhat doable, so Framegen is really handy for that.

I put this video together to show a few different games and genres where I feel a technology like AFMF can do a decent job. What do you think?

Great examples, might try Forza myself if I install it again. That game is quite heavy so AFMF would be perfect there. Star Citizen is a good one too. Looking forward to the WoW testing when the new expansion comes out. I don't play WoW but that type of game is generally not covered by the mainstream media so it's good to see. I know a lot of people have issues with running WoW on AMD cards that would be another thing you can test.
  • Forza and Star Citizen, nice Games ! =) AFMF is the best software in the last 10 years

I tried AFMF2 on No Man's Sky (VULKAN) --> Flickery and a lot of Micro stuttering, even while staying below max refresh rate of the monitor (144Hz). It runs a bit better when deactivating VSYNC. It runs even worse on Titan Quest Anniversary edition (DX11) on Steam. A lot of lag, flickering and heavy micro stuttering (>50%). Again while remaining below 144Hz. I didn't try toggling VSYNC on/off buffering on/off there
  • It works well for Helldivers2 also. You just have to use the frame limiter in the game options.
  • @RJTHEGAME
I really like AFMF 2 But there is still an issue for FC 24 on those preview drivers, I guess those drivers were finished using 24.6.1 which had stuttering issues on FC 24? So had to rollback, I hope they update it like they did before

Hi. Can you test A320 in msfs with Fluid motion frames 2? Its much more advance plane.
  • @prem3548
You should use Radeon Chill to lock the FPS to 60. It works better than any frame limiter.
  • @oswaldjh
Works as advertised on my backup PC with a RX 6700 XT. I guess this is the only way AMD is going to get frame generation in games since Developers focus on NVIDIA. I've used the Lossless Scaling App on Steam but would prefer an AMD solution not tied to Steam.
  • Interesting! I might have to check it out in MFS when its in the official drivers. Star Citizen ill wait on for another ten years 😂... Na in fairness i really need a flightstick for Star citizen, more than MFS..
  • I've tested Far Cry 6 with stock 60 fps and afmf 2, game runs amazing, comparing to Cyberpunk, which has artifacts.
  • @B_Rye402
Can you test it in Helldivers 2 please
  • @Biggie971
In Forza it's perfect because multiplayer is locked to 60 fps.
  • @qarim350xd
It didn't work in yuzu, I was hoping for that
