    What a great bit of History you’ll never hear in a classroom (or anywhere really). Love stories like this. Fighting the odds, no matter how much of a long shot. True heroism, be it American, or simply a human at their best. Death had their names but they fought for Right & for Life everyday and WON. Doesn’t get any better.

    My grandfather was there to witness the bombers fly over Cuba. He said “if freedom could make a sound, the sound of those bombers was it”. From the day forward, he made it his mission to get his family & himself out of Cuba.
    Thanks to him, I’m blessed enough to be sitting on American soil, enjoying the freedom that many Cuban generations hope to have one day.
