Thank you ! Thanks to this video and a couple more I saw I got my cue back straight. Instead of using the tool I used my 4 lbs barbell plastic disc and worked pretty well.

Also if you have a large pair of scissors with the plastic grip, seems to work just as well. Just finished straightening one of my warped cues. Also the plastic I bet wouldn't damage the shaft quite as bad as your metal tool would.
  • Great stuff, do straightened cues go back to their old bent shape, if they are not regularly checked and re worked? I’ll use the scissor handle approach right away because I don’t have that metal tool. I’ll keep you posted Cheers

The "it goes back to bent" theory is based on the wood having memory. If this was the true the wood would remember being straight in the first place.
  • what is the way to straighten the wooden cue butt when it is all painted?
  • @janhoover879
Doesn't that put a flat spot one that side your pulling down on

Same thing works for wooden arrow shafts

I would like to try this. I have read some positive reviews on a pool forum. where can they be purchased
  • using a cloth is allot better, works just as good and doesnt leave a mark

Love the vid, I know it's old, but happen to know where I can buy one of those?

Ouch this has to leave heavy grooves or indents in the shaft..  I wonder why they dont make something like this with rubber wheel or something that just rolls over the shaft..

right, wont hold for 5 days. We have a vac process that resets wood to its natural grain position. Plastic technology method.

My shaft curves a little to the left. I need one of these
  • worth a try, but I would guess their is a "no guarantees" clause. Lol
