-
Flooding framing open my mind idea I like it a lot ππππππππ

Dakota should get a raise. Great work.
-
Awesome did not know that about the unders stairs storage.

Hi Dakota, I have a wrapped basement Iβm finishing. Do I need draft stopping for that? All videos Iβve seen show examples of concrete walls vs a wrapped basement with insulation. Thanks. By the way, best video Iβve found regarding inspection, so thank you. Very helpful.

The Spray form needs to be the "Fire Retardant" rated fill foam.

If I have a floating floor do we need to still put floating walls?
-
Is bigger nail ok thats not 60d say a 10in galvanized nail?
-
I didn't see fireblocking provided on stairway (conceal spaces) nor some horizontal spaces.
-
what about the pressure treated thats suppose to be in contact with the floor?
-
Could you please give some guidance on fire blocking for basement soffits? Do you need to fireblock the area above whatever is inside the soffit (e.g., above the ductwork)? I'm genuinely concerned how to achieve that.
-
Dakota could you please tell me how far from the concrete wall can i build the wood wall and and can i use 2 1/2 in or 3in nails to secure the base plate
-
Do the fire detectors and carbon dioxide detectors MUST be hard wired ?
-
no horizontal fire stops

Hi, I've one question.. I'm Framing my basement, can i leave 6 inch space from the wall, i wanna make wider window sill. is it fine to do it?
-
I see that there are floating walls for when the concrete slab moves up. What about the doors? Usually the door frame just sits right on the concrete slab, or maybe 1/4" off the floor. What happens if the floor moves up?
-
Is that floating wall a requirement everywhere?never seen that before to be honest and at the time my house was built the small ammount of framing they did do didnt have floating walls
-
What product do you recommend for the draft stopping of the walls?

Drywall the understair storage?? No wonder construction costs keep rising, with more and more "codes" being added.
