Welcome to part four of my video game walkthrough for Safari Adventures: Africa; an educational adventure game developed by Neko Entertainment and published by SG Diffusion for Windows. This time we’re paying a visit to the Albertine Rift; a lush, mountainous region that crosses over five different countries. It’s also home to a wide variety of endemic species, such as the Mountain Gorilla and Rwenzori Turaco, a species of bird that can be found nowhere else on the planet. Unfortunately, Rashburn and Mank are back and clearly haven't learned anything after our last adventure. Now they're separately both trying to capture a local troop of gorillas, both figuratively and literally. Either way, we can’t let them succeed with their plans!

Because this game was originally released in 2004, some information on the animal info sheets might be currently out of date. If you’re curious and want to learn more about the animal species featured in this level, I’ve included some Wikipedia links below in the description.

Rwenzori Turaco (Gallirex johnstoni)

If you're wondering why the Gorilla's mouth isn't moving in the final scene; then sorry; that's partly my fault. I came in too quick and accidently got the gorillas facing towards the screen and myself facing away from it. It's supposed to be the other way around, which is why I think the animators didn't bother adding any lip animation in the last act. There's no point animating something that you won't be able to see. And honestly, the AI of this old game can be really unpredictable at times. The animals just go wherever they want. 🦍
