Tech company CrowdStrike is not a household name and most people have probably never heard of it before the global meltdown on Jul 19, 2024. But the firm is a powerhouse in the cybersecurity industry - using cutting edge technology like AI to monitor and prevent cyberattacks. CNA's Toni Waterman has more on the company from outside its global headquarters in Austin, Texas.

    So a single company can cripple many countries travel systems and infrastructure. This is really something all those govt should look into.

  • George Kurtz, the boss of a worldwide cybersecurity company, CrowdStrike office the problems started because of a "bug" in a "software update" for Microsoft Windows gadgets. Microsoft has said it's implementing "mitigation actions" to fix the "continuing problems" caused by the issue. “The issue has been identified, isolated and a fix has been deployed,” George Kurtz earlier said.
  • Crowdstrike demonstrated how vulnerable your country is to US gov. Better to diversify OS. Microsoft is not safe.

    I think AI usage is bullishit because AI already can check if program works or not. They didn't even check update so in my opinion AI usage is bullishit
