Bob Parsons, founder of GoDaddy, PXG and more, discusses the thinking behind building a club that could perform better than any other club out there, and how that idea grew into something much bigger. Now, PXG is one of the biggest names in golf.

Parsons grew up "poor as a church mouse" in inner-city Baltimore and struggled in school, flunking the fifth grade. He sold software firm Parsons Technology to Intuit for $64 million in 1994; three years later he launched Jomax Technologies, later renamed GoDaddy. In 2014, Parsons founded PXG, which makes high-performance golf equipment and apparel. He also owns commercial real estate, motorcycle dealerships, a production company and the Scottsdale National Golf Club in Arizona. Parsons and his wife have given away more than $250 million to charities since 2012.

  • Mr. Parsons is one of the nicest guys around and will help anybody in anything! And he has Money, and yeah he will get what he wants!
  • When I get a customer who calls me about “Woman's clubs” “Kid clubs” I tell them what Bob says… we don’t make woman's clubs, and we don’t make men’s clubs. We make clubs built custom for you. Love this brand!

Huge mistake when Bob Parsons sold GoDaddy. I've had an account for 20 years & there are constant issues and problems now. Just got an email from GD saying my problem had been fixed & it hasn't. Expect to be on the phone for hours to fix anything.
  • Interesting that Titleist customers love to say they are the best. Guessing none have hit PXG. Also, why spread false narratives about someone being a bully, by starting with "I heard"....

Titleist golf clubs are the best!!!! PXG clubs are nothing compared to Titleist. We all have opinions and each one is different. Some of the things I heard about Parsons is that he is kind of a bully because he has money. You can still be a nice guy with money.
