I know that genetically we are closest to chimpanzees, but personally I feel closest to orangutans.
  • They move, walk, eat and touch things so much like a human but with a super chill and relaxed attitude.

Having arm-hands AND leg-hands looks extremely useful for DIY.

Everyone a gangster till Mantang shows up around a corner staring you down.

Funny orangutan: “day 456, the weird looking orangutan still mocks me.”

How anyone can hurt one of these gentle creatures... I just can't understand it.
  • @jasonrichter497
They are so very lovable. Not much makes me feel violent, but the loss of these majestic creatures makes my blood sizzle.

2025: orangutan sends an e-mail. 2030: orangutans can vote 2045: planet of the apes

It's sad to see how plantations and logging are bringing them closer to extinction.
  • 5:24 I literally can't stop laughing at the completely stoic facial expression, while not even looking at the saw, sawing perfectly straight.
  • @marco1173
Love her facial expression while she saws... Lol
  • That mama is 6 years older than I am (im 36 in 4 days) and a lot more knowledgeable about survival. The palm oil industry needs to be put out of business. This is terrible.
  • The last one, the guy seems to have really good chemistry with the orangutan lol. Like you can sense them having a mutual respect for one another and communicating effectively.
  • @AniFam
Wow, teaching her daughter for nine years!! What a devoted animal~ 👍✨

Orangutans are the largest arboreal mammals, highly intelligent & very close relatives of humans. They're also called "gardeners" & "persons" of the forest.

Poor Mentang😔. It was so sad to watch him trying to crack & eat the pebbles on the beach. Such a tragic thing they’ve done to the orangutans, planting all those palm oil farms. I’m glad they saved Mama Ahbut & her baby, along w/all the others. Azie was so smart!
  • That wild orangutan with the saw blew me away. First she tests the saw against her head and sees that it’s sharp. Then she starts sawing and even blows away the sawdust. Quite remarkable.
