I struggle so much with my mental health and addictions. TNH has been a presence in my life since the start of my recovery many years ago, after a failed suicide attempt. I still struggle with stuff. I'm angry alot and I dont have much tolerance for people. I'm frustrated at all the injustice and corruption in the world, in the United states where I live. I think it causes me to act out alot. But I still work on myself. TNH really helps to remind me that being compassionate with myself helps me be compassionate with others. Hes always a pillar of love even in the darkest, most hateful times. He talks about surviving a near fatal attack during the war...fleeing from the madness, and then he created so much peace in the world. He amassed an army of others to spread the message around the WORLD. I have so much respect for him and every single nun/monk. You guys keep me going even when I fail. I love you all so much. If he can get through all that, and every other refugee...then I can prepare myself for what comes next for the US. It dosent look good. I will hold out hope anyway..and remind myself that all is impermanent anyway. I will let go. Thank you

This walking meditation has been helping me gain presence for 2 years now. Thank you for teaching me this beautiful practice. I even use it while I drive sometimes.
  • Dear Thay, Thank you very much for this wonderful and very wise teaching. I have been reciting this beautiful Gatha for a long time in my walking meditation. This teaching gives me more insight into how precious and helpful the practice is. Wishing You Peace and Happiness, Peter
  • no birth no death but dannnng the stuff in the middle can be so hard, so depressing. I am not home and I have not arrived today which is why I am here listening to this master. He brings me so much comfort. I listen to him almost every day. I definitely hear him in my mind every day. Going back to the beginning. Replay. Repeat.
  • What a beautiful start of the day. I am grateful... In the here and now 🌱
  • Beautifully expressed: our cosmic body made of stars and sunshine. Makes me feel so good

How beautiful! And helpful. Thank you. Yes, it is a 'simple' practice...but often not easy. So, it's something we ....practice. An apt word, 'practice.' And we add in a good measure of self-compassion.
