Dylan was one of the only interviewers who could connect with the boys. I guess being a school teacher might have helped and also they probably watched this show many times on a sat morning.

The Interviewer is the most 90s early 2000s looking person I've ever seenšŸ˜‚

I cant quite fathom how an album like freakshow came out of such a humble, awkward shy boy like DJ. truly awesome, thanks for the music Daniel, it all clearly came with a huge sacrifice to your youth, innocence and mental well being. True genius.

Love the shout-out to "that Paul Mac bloke from Sydney," and Daniel later went on to make a couple incredible albums with him <3
  • "'It's cool to be a geek, so we're geeks.' That specific sentence alone, provided me with the necessitated self-confidence and mettle as a young adolescent, to never stop being the comic book nerd and cult film fanatic that I have always been internally, and to thusly unabashedly externalize my most authentic self..."

Such humility from Johns referring to Mr. Page and implying itā€™s just a fuss because they didnā€™t write ā€˜stairway to heaven.ā€™ Beautiful.
  • "We listen to hardcore jazz fusion stuff"- I didnĀ“t know they were into the Dillinger Escape Plan

ā€œmany albums to document your wonderful developmentsā€ I love that phrase

Wow, I canā€™t believe how long they knew Paul Mac!!

So cool. Iā€™m sure I remember watching that, I wouldā€™ve been in first year uni. Dylan is such a talented guy and this show was so amazing, I wish theyā€™d bring something like this back for the kids - prob need to be on Instagram or whatever to get their attention but the casual, close, realness of it is much needed these days.
  • If Daniel was going to be a rocket scientist instead of one of the best musicians in the world he would have had such a better life

Australia used to have such a good music scene. What is there now?
