Olympic 'sabotage': Arsonists target high-speed rail routes

With the games set to get under way amid an unprecedented peacetime security operation, the state-owned railway operator SNCF said fires had been set at installations along the lines connecting the capital with cities such as Lille in the north, Bordeaux in west and Strasbourg in the east.
It said timetables would be severely impacted over the weekend and has urged all travellers to postpone their journeys. Eurostar has also said services between London and Paris were being diverted, with several trains cancelled and journey times increased by 90 minutes.

Not a fan of the Olympic organisation. However, I’m sure most in France were looking forward to celebrating their country on the world stage & watching the worlds best athletes compete. Whoever is behind this sabotage, they really knew what they were doing and where. I won't be surprised if these were some French railway workers who got an excellent knowledge of the whole system of trains.
