I just turned 60 and have been or am going through all these things. I am a woman of faith, so I go to God and tell Him all about everything. This helps, along with cleaning, baking or going for a walk. I've been marries 25 years and I have some of the same issues with things that you do as a single person, only he doesn't help with the decisions or he makes things worse. So, you are never lone my friend. We just have to trust God and have faith that yes, it will benefit us even if we don't like the path.😇🙏

This is your best conversation ever, and so on point for what I am going through at the moment. I can also relate to how hard it is to be responsible for all the decision making and child raising on your own. My own current prayer for challenging times is one I found recently, and it makes me smile a little too and that's not a bad thing as I often take myself too seriously. Like you I can't find the source, but it may be from the Talmud - "Dear God, help me until you help me!".

Agree about going for a walk! And making sure to hang out with positive people. That’s why I’m here😊
  • Your advice is solid! I try to use many of these technique and know I need to trust the process. I use journaling as a way to put my thoughts down and then see what I can possibly do to work on my fears. I'll go back and read my journal occasionally and see that I do have what it takes to manage myself and it's ok not to have all the answers at the moment, time will give me them.
  • awesome message about fear and remaining calm! Love it! Thanks for that!

So glad to hear you using Abrahams emotional scale. Also, remember how the law of attraction gets a hold of unwanted thoughts and adds and adds more if we don't shut them off and think about something else.❤

Great advice! Most of my fears I’ve had throughout my life are gone like fear of failure or not getting love. How did I get over them? I’ve failed a lot and bounced back. This taught me failure is part of life and I can come back. Fear of not being loved? I had to learn to respect myself and my needs and that brought me to not need acceptance or love of others. Don’t get me wrong as humans we need love in our lives as much as community. but I learn to not chase love, and just let it happen. I still fear heights and haven’t figured out how to get rid of it. Thank you for your wisdom. ❤
