6 months ago I was feeling so overwhelmed pregnant with an almost failed marriage. On the last Sunday night of February I’ve had enough and as I was praying, I felt God telling me to go to the scriptures Isaiah 55:8-9 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” I told God “let your will be done Lord”. And I went to sleep. I woke up that Monday morning to the news that my dad had passed away. February 27th. Until this day 6 months later I still cannot believe he’s no longer here, but during this grieving period every time I ask myself why, I have to go to that passage. Even though it hurts I have to understand God’s will.
