Thank you Bart Simpson for this video. Every April I start to have football withdrawal. Unfortunately Covid-19 has stopped the combine & the draft. So I find myself watching old games. Hopefully this won't last too much longer. Everyone stay safe.
  • Harrison held on nearly ever play for about 3-4 years. Absolute beast off the edge.
  • What an amazing game to see in person!!!! I was blessed with my late father!!!! Miss you Dad đź’•!!!!!!!
  • I'm a Steelers fan from Pittsburgh and I was in San Diego when this game was played. I watched at a Dave and Busters and was the only Steelers fan in the entire bar. I tried to keep a low profile but ended up pissing everyone off with my cheering!

I remember 09 chargers because that was the last good team they had before moving to LA. They made a mistake by leaving a loyal fan base in SD.

Everyone remembers James Harrison's 100-yard return in the Super Bowl. What you may not realize is that the reason it happened was because of this SD touchdown at 1:47:18. NaaNee is Boldin on a virtually identical route. Harrison said in an interview that he remembered that Cardinal formation from the Charger game. (https://youtu.be/5GEtlF6Zftg?t=3315)

Santonio Holmes was the MVP of this playoff series. In this game he woke us up after being stunned by the early SD TD with his punt return TD, In the AFC title game he made a similar play on a catch and run for a TD that we needed it that slugfest with the brutal Ravens and then in the Super Bowl he made the greatest catch to win the game in SB history.

The Steelers had some great players during that stretch with a mix of veterans young talent. This was still largely Bill Cowher's guys.
  • @darwinblinks
My third favorite Steelers team after 78 and 76. Still have the ESPN Magazine with the defense on the cover, such a classic picture.
  • This was one of the stacked chargers teams too, but Pittsburgh was loaded on defense and offense. One of the best defense to the 2000’s.
