15 Hopes for the Super Mario Bros. Movie

I think that the first half of the movie should just be hotel Mario.

I really do hope Daisy appears in the movie!! 🧡🧡🧡

i personally think that in a possible sequel, thats when we will see my most hoped for characters (which are the koopalings, bowser jr, the wario brothers, and king boo). maybe this time peach actually gets kidnapped by bowser and mario is forced to use his parkour and combat skills with his brother that peach taught him so mario can get through each world with some power ups, taking on all sorts of enemies. i also really hope to see items like the metal cap or the mega mushroom or stone mario in the first or second movie. it would be so sick.

Idk if this is a weird hope, but I really hope Bowser’s crush on Peach is acknowledged in the movie. To me it’s one of his most endearing qualities and could give him some more depth. Not really sure how it would work out though since Peach doesn’t seem to get be getting kidnapped this time, but I hope there’s at least something 😅 Oh and also I hope there’s a reference to Daisy!

Absolutely would love to see Paper Mario Partners and Shooting Star summit referenced! A 90 minute Mario Movie can pave the way for an animated series! :] oh and I would love for the post-ending credits scene to reference a different Nintendo universe…like Maybe Kirby or Metroid, tying Mario’s universe into the Rest of the Nintendo World (and making a Smash Bros movie a possibility ! :) ).

My hope is that with all the fan service aside, it can still be an enjoyable and compelling story and finally fleshing out the Mario characters after 38 years

I’m really hoping towards the end of the movie that there will be an epic one on one battle between Mario & Bowser

I hope that at the end of the movie there’s a shot of the camera panning out and showing us a Lakitu who filmed the whole thing just like the camera for Mario 64.

Mario and Luigi vs Bowser towards the end of the movie is what we really need

Hear me out for a sec. If they have the audacity to remake the "Mario Mario, and Luigi Mario" joke from the live action movie, i would love this movie even more. It would be hilairous for me i swear.

I would like to see Mario meeting Sonic in one of these illumination Mario Movies

I was so excited when I saw Bomb-omb (is that how it’s spelled? Can’t remember), it was super cool! I think the tanooki leaf was shown in one of the early trailers!

I honestly think Funky Kong should have rode the Flame Runner in the Mario Kart scene to reference the popularity

A sequel based on Superstar Saga would be great!!!

My biggest hope is that it’s good! And that we get a cool Zelda movie subsequently!

My biggest hope, which likely won't happening because it would be a extremely ballsy move, have Bowser WIN at the end. This first movie could like a Prolog for a long movie series were the Bros. have to do a lot more growing and facing challenges before standing a chance against the mighty King of the Koopas.
