The fact that Dishonored is considered the “child” of Thief, and that Corvo was voiced by the same voice actor of Garret, this easter egg is so brilliant!

Garrett also says it in the third game when he has to make his way down the Hammerite clock tower... that line always stuck with me for some reason. "It's a long way down, but you know what they say, down is always easier than up."

Nice find. God I loved Thief. Playing this in no powers mode kind of reminds me if Thief. If only we had rope arrows are something similar.

Given Dishonored is often seen as "Thief with superpowers" (hell you can even choose to play without the powers so it feels more like old Thief) this feels super appropriate. As of making this comment I only recently bought Dishonored 2, but hearing that voice is making me feel like what I should do is marathon the first three Thief games first and then replay Dishonored 1 as well, and I can just pretend Dishonored ended up being "Thief 4" instead of the 2014 reboot.

The whole Clockwork Mansion (as well as Jindosh himself having striking parallels with Karras) is also very reminiscent of Thief 2: The Metal Age in general

Jindosh's level feels like such a proper callback to Kerras without feeling like nostalgia baiting. I love this game and I think it's way better than the first game.

in "a crack in the slab" mission I found a veteran in a room with a long table and 2 statues that looked like cambell from dishonored 1
