This is a no-commentary video I was able to cook up relatively quickly, it's an idea I wanted to see fulfilled, and it's a way to stay active since I'm moving in a few days and that'll delay my Support Tier List video.

Uh oh... I forgot the Frommer Stop, and was unable to get footage of the C93 Carbine or the Fedorov Degtyarev. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Link to the shorts playlist if you'd rather have this condensed into about 13 minutes of one-minute segments:    • BF1 Gunshot Sound Comparison Shorts

The song used in the intro is Mac-V from Call of Duty: Black Ops

BF1's sound design is genuinely incredible for the most part, and its always nice to see it get it's dues
  • @TheKrzysiek
I do recognize the slightly muffled sound that is in the trenches, but I never realised that it was because of the trenches walls being wood.

It is incredible this applies not only to gunshots, but for screams and grenade explosions too, combined with how dirty the viewmodel gets depending of the map and the different sound effects like for example the palpitations surviving an almost deadly shot, the ear ring after hearing a near explosion and the hard exhale after getting revived makes a really cinematic and immersive experience all around
  • The level of detail put into Battlefield 1 and even Battlefield V is genuinely insane. Stuff you would never notice during a regular match, yet they still added them. My favorite detail is being able to hear the sound of rain hitting the used artillery shells in certain maps. Does 2042 have any interesting details? I've never noticed any in that game other than the neat M44 reload.
  • What i always loved is the placebo effect on me when indoors in bf1 Just the louder sound made me more confident and thus agressive
  • never noticed the different sounds more than indoors rooms vs open field also the fact you can hear the sonic boom is amazing too
  • I love the detail of being able to hear an echo half a second later when you're outdoors. That's honestly not something I'd ever noticed during normal gameplay, just too many other sounds going on I guess

The amount of detail that went into this game is phenomenal. This will always be my favorite battlefield.

Battlefield 1 has the most detailed audio profile ever in a video game

I’ll wait patiently for my BF1 support tierlist. I’m in no rush.
  • I was about to ask my veteran grandpa about the selbslader 1916 but he didn't make it to the end of the video

i am yet to actually shot a gun for myself, but based off of all of the videos i have seen of people shooting. bf1, bfv and bf2042 have the most realistic gun sounds i have ever heard in a game. whilst cod has more realistic animations, i think battleifeld reigns supreme here. the gun sounds are clearly recorded in hign quality, and dont rely as much on bass-boosting to add power to the sounds, but rather keep the sounds as authentic as possible. the loading sounds are more realistic too. with less loud and exaggerated sounds. it doesnt affect gameplay at all, but does show the absolute passion that the people working on this franchise have. i feel like sound was only improved with bfv. though it is slightly unfortunate that 2042 seems to have taken a step back in terms on environmental audio, despite some great weapon sounds, which still sound great and authentic (though still less powerful and loud than 1 or 5) and i dont want to undermine cod devs here, cod definately has great sound design, but i just dont think it beats battleifled when it comes to authenticity

BF1 has the best atmosphere of any battlefield game. That doesn't just the sounds, but other things like backdrops, map design, weather and so on.
  • What an interesting video, looking forward to the next bf1 tier list, keep up the great work

Could you please make Call of Duty Mobile tier lists? I know that your focus is realism, but it would be so much useful and fun to see a professional-level FPS gaming teacher talk about a game with so much content that can be explored; a lot more than just weapons and atachments. Thanks for reading my comment! I listen to every piece of information that you say, because you're someone with much more experience and knowledge than me! And your opinion is very strong! (Sorry for my english, i'm brazilian :P )

You working on the support gun tier list for battlefield 1?
