Nintendo Game & Watch Joystick (For Video Game Accessibility)

Published 2022-12-27
The Nintendo Game & Watch Joystick is here... and it is great for accessibility. This is a follow-up to my video entitled "Video Games and Accessibility". If you haven't watched that video, please watch it before this one. In that video, I described my disability and lack of mobility in my left hand, which made it extremely difficult to play any of my Nintendo consoles because of the standard D-pad. Luckily, I was able to obtain a joystick for the NES and Switch. I still was unable to play my Game & Watches though, which prompted me to make the previous video. A few weeks ago, my friend Greg came to me with an idea: he modified a D-pad so that it included a joystick. My other friends Ian and Allen helped replace the standard D-pads and install the modified ones. I tried them and I was able to play! No words can express how happy that made me. I can now enjoy my games. In this video, I wanted to show off the joystick and how well it works. I also wanted to ask:

1. Would you be interested in a joystick like this?
2. What do think a fair price would be for this?
3. Would you rather obtain the standalone joystick and install it yourself or have it pre-installed?

I would love to hear your thoughts. Please share this with any video gamers and video game companies.
