This was a lovely video. And it made me laugh when I saw Miley in Shannon’s arm after that adorable vixen sauntered by. I was in Fogo this past May and managed to see a family of caribou in JBA. They came by three times a day for meals and grass moving. By the the third day, they are right up to near the door of the Air BnB. It’s now October, and I’m celebrating exactly one month living here😊 and close to the trails you hiked. If you come again, you must hike The Great Auk Trail. It really is out of this world. (And if you can, try to visit Twillingate, too. Crow Head trail … just magical. I’m looking forward to seeing all the icebergs come next spring/summer both around Fogo and over in Twillingate. Thanks for sharing your trip here.

Great video, I never made it to Fogo but have been to Newfoundland twice. You won't find more fun-loving and gracious people anywhere else.

Fogo Island is such a special place. We spent 4 days last year staying at the Fogo Island Inn.
  • I love the spirit & freedom of these TWO. Newly subscribed & thank you. It is a long way from Maine to Fogo Island but you are inspiring me to make the trek.
  • Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Newfoundland is on my list of places to see as well. Have a great trip to your next destination.
  • Lovely spot! We have a painting/print we ordered from Fogo Island that is hanging in our kitchen. The whimsical colourful Newfoundland houses by Adam Young. Nice to see the island that inspired his work in your video today!

What time of year were you in NFLD? We are planning a trip next summer. Did you see any Caribou? I believe there is a large herd living on Fogo Island.
