Who are Kara and Nate?!
Watch our documentary here:    • 100th COUNTRY DOCUMENTARY

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married 2013 and were super “normal.” I was a teacher and Nate started a small printing business from the spare bedroom of our apartment.

We discovered the world of “travel hacking” while planning our honeymoon & became addicted ;)

So after 2 years of obsessively saving $35k and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016 for a “one year” trip around the world.

Our goal was to see as many places as possible before we ran out of money and went back home to “normal life.” We started this channel to share our experiences with friends and family, but quickly fell in love with living on the road and found a new passion for capturing our travels through video. So we did everything we could to keep going.

4 years later, we achieved our new goal of visiting 100 countries and all 7 continents. We had no plans to slow down, until 2020 forced us to ;) Which is when we bought a converted van to start exploring our own country for the first time!

After ~2 years of van life, we are back to full time international traveling! And now we are finding the best adventures the world has to offer :)

We are incredibly grateful to be able to continue doing something we love every day. 😊🎥🌎 Thank you to everyone who has been a part of our journey!

PLEASE read the details below if you are planning your own road trip here :)

Aboriginal held land in Australia is private property and to travel through, you need permission often in the form of a permit. For Kiwirrkurra Country, a permit allows you to travel along the main road, into community and camp at approved campsites. Access into any other areas aside from this is still prohibited. More information on traveling through Kiwirrkurra country can be found at www.tjamutjamu.com/travelling-to-kiwirrkurra-count… and kiwirrkurra.au/. The Kiwirrkurra Traditional Owners thank you for respecting their culture and country.

ALSO! If you are looking to buy Aboriginal art, make sure you buy from the most ethical sources which are community artist-owned art galleries and collectives. For Kiwirrkurra art you can purchase through Papunya Tula Artists (papunyatula.com.au/). For other Central Australian Aboriginal art, visit Desart for more information at desart.com.au/ Tha

Kara and Nate are the only youtubers i can watch for a whole decade without getting bored of them
  • @biosparkles9442
I'm really glad you took your preparation seriously. As an Aussie I've encountered too many tourists who think they can just go on a road trip through the outback without any background research, and they usually end up in a really serious situation.

I love the balance of challenges and luxury. You’re so right, living minimal for a period of time makes the little “luxuries” that much more special. ✨

I can't express how much I look forward to your videos. The lack of drama and just normal human interactions is such a release from most of what's available on any social media. Thank you so much for your "feel good" programs.

Ok u probs won’t read this but u to have helped me so much when my mum and dad split up u kept me going I love all your videos and can’t wait for more to come out ever week ❤❤
  • @Grahamvlogs802vt
Can we take a moment to appreciate Kara and Nate are uploading their life.
  • I just love how it’s not about the touristy destinations like they do go there but the fact that they say the outback is so interesting when it looks the same for 11 hours just shows how much they genuinely like travelling not just fancy things.
  • My parents drove myself and two siblings to Uluru from Adelaide back in the mid 80’s. Back then you were able to climb Uluru. The whole journey was such an amazing experience. As we were climbing us kids started complaining about how hot it was and how we wanted something to cool down. My dad kept us going by telling us there’s a kiosk at the top and that we’d get an ice cream when we got there.

Always enjoy the “making of Kara’s coffee” morning ceremony. Great series.

I’ve heard the term “Australian Outback” for most of my life, but never really knew what it was. Like so many of your other videos, this has given me a glimpse of and understanding of a part of the world I probably wouldn’t ever get a chance to know otherwise. I don’t know who would go on a trek like this with me, but it’s going on my bucket list!
  • When Kara said “the end” and then Nate did my heart hurt a little. Kara and Nate have been there for me, on my highs and lows, when flying, when crying, during the pandemic, after the loss of a loved one. Always showing beautiful parts of the world. Best Youtubers ever! I can’t imagine the day you guys don’t upload videos anymore…
  • @bulletz9688
I’m from Perth and have watched you guys since the video where you swam in between continental plates 6 years ago… seeing you guys in Australia now is honestly unbelievable and makes me so happy. You guys have come so far, keep going you guys are amazing!!
  • No one loves K and N adventures more then my kids and I!!! Every week the videos are better then the next! We laugh, we cry and we absolutely adore you two! Thanks for bringing so much joy to our family in Alberta Canada! U have no idea how amazing you guys are!!!! ❤️
  • @emiche711
I used to travel a lot for work in my early 20s and after the pandemic I have extreme social anxiety and am having a hard time getting back out there…your videos truly help seeing how good the world and people can be and you make travelling look fun, even though I know there are tough times! Thanks so much for your dedication to what you do, you impact a lot of people by doing what you love :) 🙌
  • @ziggygunz2447
It's kind of cool how their experience with van life during the pandemic has opened up even more ways for them to travel the world and experience things
  • @cindycornog8006
Absolutely love how you appreciate every single moment of all your adventures. From pooping in the outback to fine dining under the drones. Never get bored with you or your videos and adventures. Keep doing what you do !!❤️❤️
  • @Danielles210
This inspires me to want to travel more in Australia, my own country. Thank you for showcasing my country so well ❤

  • I live in the outback and believe me, some of those cars have been there for over 50 years!! When my dad was a kid his dad got in a accident where he swerved off the road, and his car is still there! (and that was in 1967!)
  • You two have done something few Australians will ever do and you've done it with grace and happyness. Was out there 40 years ago with my gal, when there were even fewer people and cars. It's an experience! Well done. Fabulous video series.
