The 2004 ALCS was the first time I was invested myself in watching baseball in over a decade. I still don't know why but for some reason, I started watching game 4 in the 8th inning. I watched the rest of the Red Sox run. My grandma was 93 years old, from Middleboro, Massachusetts. She was 7 when the Red Sox last won the World series. She passed away 2 months later, I'm positive she waited for those boys to win the series before she crossed the rainbow bridge.

RIP Tim Wakefield. You are already deeply missed.

The 2004 season was so magical that I still get goosebumps thinking about the series.

The Greatest Red Sox Team !!! I still remember my dear friend calling me after the win, he said " ... well what do we have to live for now?" Amazing, my mom born in 1918, and the biggest Sox fan of all never missed a game saw it as well as one more in 2007, that team was especially made for fans like her.
  • I've been a Red Sox fan for over 40 years and this is my all-time favorite team. Not because they won a championship. This is a team of grit. Although I live in Houston, Texas now, but I know what it's like to be a Bostonian!!
  • 2007, 2013, 2018... No... The 2004 championship ... The best ...always!!!

They didn't show the big humiliation for the NY Yankees when Alex Rodriguez was called out for slapping the ball from Bronson Arroyo's glove.

The Red Sox Organization has now morphed back into the Haywood Sullivan/Lou Gorman era. John Henry: Do you remember that you own the Red Sox???

I like to think The Curse broke on the Midnight stroke just before The Steal, and from that point on there was nothing holding them back anymore, allowing the 8 straight wins, as if this was what they were capable of without Ruth standing on their throats. It's too Goddamned perfect of a story.

    I still haven't recovered from the ALCS...🥴

Can’t wait to see the team reflect back on the win in 2090, 86 years after the broke the 86 year curse.
