This is one of the most beautiful songs ever written.

This is where you understand that Art Garfunkel has one of the greatest voices ever recorded.

This is heavenly gospel. It's the original. I'd say it's the best song Paul Simon ever wrote, and his career is stellar.

100 years from today, people will still love this performance.

Yes, Paul Simon wrote this, and this is the original version. It won a Grammy for best song in 1971. All copies are nice attempts, but nothing will ever touch this.

Yes, between Paul Simon's beautiful lyrics and Art Garfunkel's angelic voice, it moves you to your soul. It will each time.

They are the original singers and songwriter. Art Garfunkel sings and Paul Simon wrote it. Profoundly beautiful song.

Your reaction to this song reminded me of how I felt the first time I heard it. 50 years later, and I still tear up.
  • The short guy with the dark hair (Paul Simon) wrote it. His Partner, the Tall guy with the light frizzy hair Art Garfunkel) sang it. Simon & Garfunkel were the best folk/rock duo in history.
  • @wiggion
Paul Simon wrote it, Art Garfunkel did almost all the vocal. Released in Jan 1970. The whole album is incredible. I guess this would be called folk/pop, but is classical styled. This is 'art', for a "pop music song", this is at a whole different higher level.

My wife and I chose this song instead of the traditional here comes the bride as she cam down the aisle. Our exit from the altar was 'Morning has Broken' '
