The 2023 Lexus ES 300h F-Sport Is A Lexus Sedan At Its Best With An Electrified Flair

The #LexusES has a long history for Lexus. Introduced in the late 80's alongside the flagship LS luxury sedan, the #LexusES300h is the electrified version of the popular midsize luxury sedan. Sharing a platform with the full-size Toyota Avalon, the latest #ES300hFSport adds the popular handling package to a quiet, comfortable, and efficient car. While it doesn't turn the latest #ES into a sport sedan, it does make for a more visually appealing car that is still the same quiet and comfortable car that it has always been.

Honestly, as much as all the fun cars are, the ES is the car I'd daily commute in forever. I have an 08 and want to upgrade to this one. I've had the 08 since 2011 and its the best car I've ever owned. Comfortable, reliable and as luxurious as you really need for a daily driver.
  • My neighbor has a loaded '23 ES 350 Ultra Luxury. I can't find a single fault with the car. In that price range nothing from Europe in in the same league. And she put a bit over 200k miles on her last one with zero issues.

Great car. I bought one. 2023 with same exact specs but white and black interior. Great car with enough power and insane MPG. Love this car!
  • I have a 23 ES350 V6 base trim. Love it. After 8 years with a 2014.5 Camry SE, with a harsh, stiff riding suspension, I knew an F Sport handling trim was not for me.

Nice review! This car is for someone who wants great MPG and comfort over the Camry with the same drivetrain. I see alot of comments about the V6 being more fun, which of course, but that's not who this car is aimed at. I could see older buyers going for this, because they see the Camry as basic and this ES as luxury, and they have the money for a Lexus. And they get a few other nice features.

Hopefully 2024 gets AWD w/ the hybrid set up when it’s redesigned.

Always a very sensible and concise review on worthwhile cars. Nice!
  • Been waiting for this for a long time and it was worth it

Mr. Redline, I have my checklist, and it's not short either. Now, I don't care how you"feel" about the car. Nothing personal, but I just don't care. I want the stats. I want the data, and then I can make my own decisions. Well, you covered every single point/stat that I wanted covered. And that's why I keep coming back, to see more reviews. Outstanding job there, Mr. Redline.

Have had 2019 F Sport and 2022 ES 350 F Sport..actually fun to drive with the V6. Nice review as always 😊

If toyota/lexus gives the ES the RX500h powertrain, will be a home-run
  • Had a 2022 ES300h UL(Nov 2021-Nov 2022). Very nice and a great cruiser. The ride and quietness is very good but, it does depend on the road surface! 95% of the time the car was a pleasure. Lexus/Toyota hybrids are the best of the best! Over the year in PA, I averaged 44mpg. Dead on with what it’s rated for. I drove around town 95% of the time and only wished the HV battery would have been bigger to drive more in EV only mode. I switched to an NX450h+ and I’m beyond thrilled. The ability to drive entirely in EV mode(38-42 miles) is amazing. At least for me the NX450h+ is a way better fit for my driving commute. Lexus/Toyota makes amazing hybrid vehicles and it’s finally great to see them selling now like they should have years ago. They only get better and more efficient with each redesign.
  • I love my 07 ES which was nearly $50K new and purchased with 18K miles on it 3+ years ago for $14,750, and will probably be upgrading to a new ES every 5-8 years or so for the foreseeable future. They're a ridiculous bargain used.
