Bad Math - Tim Dilena

Published 2024-03-01
In this powerful message from the Fire in Our Bones conference in San Diego, Pastor Tim Dilena dives into Acts 16:6-26, exploring the story of Paul and Silas imprisoned in Macedonia. He draws compelling parallels between their situation and the challenges we face in our own lives, reminding us to avoid "bad math" – miscalculating God's plan and presence in difficult times.

  • Jeeez what a word! Thank you God! This is a powerful sermon, amazing! Praise God, thank you for being a father to me and closing the doors that needed to be closed and opening new doors that at times didn’t make sense! When it doesn’t add up and it seems like bad math- God is always in control!

God is faithful to do whatever he pleases. And then he leaves it up to us to follow his will. We need to do the will of the Lord and we need to stay in prayer and read our Bibles and that's how we're going to learn his word and get to know him.

It gives us scriptures to remember and we quote daily that way when there are no Bibles and no churches and we are in the end of days we could speak to people without a Bible and without scriptures because Christ said that he would bring his word to our remembrance. Thank you Jesus. That's why I try to quote what I know daily or at least some of it and then throughout the day more. Because one day we're going to run across somebody that doesn't know anything about Christ and they're going to ask our reason have to know the word of the Lord . If we don't then we will end up lost and we don't want to be speechless after Christ allowed his holy spirit to fill us with his words. We need to try to remember everything that we read so we need to read often and pray often and have conversations with God throughout the day that way we could stay fresh and ready in Christ for his purposes.

I would like to think that I would be grateful that my brother brought me an ungrateful grilled cheese sandwich to the battlefield. But it wasn't about the sandwiches. It was about David hearing from God and obeying him Hallelujah and amen and amen
