Days of Wine and Roses (1962) | Rescue Me by OneRepublic | Jack Lemmon and Lee Remick

I'm hoping this video just kind of speaks for itself - because what else can I really add? The message of this hugely important classic film is obvious, and I hope the message I tried to get across in this video is equally apparent. I think the song I picked fits the tone of the movie very well. To me, it refers to how, in the film, both Jack Lemmon and Lee Remick need to be rescued from their alcoholism, and how in the end one has been rescued while the other still needs to be rescued BY the other. Whether or not that ever happens is left unanswered by the film's ambiguous ending.

One thing I would like to emphasize is that I did NOT make this tribute purely for fun and entertainment, as I do most of my others. This one is meant to be taken seriously, and as a warning to a problem which has never ceased to be prevalent in humanity: drunkenness and excessive alcoholism. And the Scripture verse I added at the end comes from the King James Bible.
