Building a Micro House Boat (Start to Finish)

Publicado 2023-11-18
I challenge Zach @FowlersMakeryandMischief to build the world's smallest micro house boat that has all the amenities including cooking, sleeping, sitting, and so much more. Join me on this adventure while I work to building the most epic house boat, or pontoon boat that is fully equipped for overnight.

Zach Fowler Tiny Houseboat Part 1:    • Solar Tiny Houseboat Build, Catch & C...
Zach Fowler Tiny Houseboat Part 2:    • Solar Tiny Houseboat Build, Part 2 Ov...

I got this tiny boat for free and and challenged myself to build a house boat that was beautiful, functional, and cheap enough to build. With the help of a bit of new material, and a lot of reused scavenged material, I will turn it into a luxurious solo micro house boat.

"Self-Reliance" is an 1841 essay written by American transcendentalist philosopher and essayist Ralph Waldo Emerson. It contains the most thorough statement of one of Emerson's recurrent themes: the need for each individual to avoid conformity and false consistency, and follow his own instincts and ideas. This channel will approach self reliance from a modern perspective. and will focus on various build projects using modern amenities, and tools to build a completely self reliant lifestyle.

Many people ask me where I am from and where I film my projects. I am from Northern Ontario, Canada, and live in an area where off-grinding is easy because I have lots of land to build on and experiment with different buildings and materials. Everything I do is to try to be more self reliant, and to depend less on others. But that doesn't mean I don't like working together with other people on projects. Knowing people who have skills is part of being self reliant, and trading skills is a great way to get more things done!

  • If you can play the video all the way through, I would appreciate that! Have a great weekend everyone.

Thank you for sharing your experience with this shed manual, a useful and well-designed resource for building your own shed. youtube.com/post/UgkxzaRUJNcbypw-fRBDbqqz43ULIa-1E… It sounds like you enjoyed the process of creating something new, rather than repairing something old. The pictures in the manual were helpful and informative. I'm glad your dad liked it and is looking forward to building a shed. The hardcover edition was a good choice, as it is more durable and resistant to car fluids than the soft cover ones. I appreciate your feedback. blush

Use cooking oil to get the adhesive off. Trust me. It's always worked for me. It will get gooey and messy but with each wipe with a paper towel or cloth will bring it all off. Let it sit and rub it in with your fingers keeping it oily, and it will start to free up after about 30 minutes. Full stop

Full Stop. I watched this build earlier in the three parts. Great to see it as one long movie.
  • @Out-Fishing13

  • @danisewerner4047
I love the boat! You should name it The Tiny-Tanic! I always watch all your videos to the very end! Thanks for the laughs. You rock. Have a great weekend Kevin!
  • @SWEET-2381
You're such a character dude lol that intro was awesome!
  • The other day I was thinking about how realistic & practical. It'd be to build a lightweight mini house boat/camper that could be towed behind an ebike or motorized bicycle. Once you put boat into water. You'd strap the bicycle to front, rear or side of boat.
  • @carrotty9429
Caravan window scratch remover will do a treat to the front window
  • "Rambl" fits you perfectly Kevin! [have you listened to yourself?? hahaha] Thank you for being so entertaining!
  • @-DEATHSTROKE
So I've been having this dream of building a crashed UFO in my backyard, and in the dream I deck it out to sleep in but add a space ship theme. I don't have the knowledge or skillset, and if you ever are struggling to find an idea, I feel like you are the man to pull it off correctly
  • @sueyates3555
That boat is really cool. Always love watching Kevin and Don’s adventures never get tired of it. Take care.
  • @jwyllor

  • @motaman8074
I've watched your channel from the beginning. Just wanted to tell you that you rock!!
  • @colinp2528
FULL STOP. Nice to see old Bean again.
  • @clairedionne559
I had just watched bits of the houseboat construction while it was in parts. But this time, FULL STOP, I have enjoyed the entire 1 hour 31 min video session. How instructive and entertaining at the same time! It just feels like we are with you going through the paces. You got me freezing as you were trying to break the ice on the lake. God, that must have been so cold... and you did that for how long?! Anyway, thanks for inviting us onto your projects. I can't wait to watch you build a flying object of some sort, and spend the night in it of course. Congratulations!

fULL sTOP... Not only did I watch this all the way through, I watched when you did them individually all the way through. I love you and your crew... including your fur friends.
