  • Wax on Wax off! Plenty of wood to resurface. Take your time no rush. You are on cruising time. Thanks nice show

Loved hearing the buzzer when you turn the keys…brings back the memories. Loved your company. Dolphins never get old. Loving your videos!

Hey Gus, Love your vlog. Love the fact you are cruising and learning with an opening and great "can-do" attitude. Just a bit of nomenclature for you. Floor boards in a boat are called the cabin sole. Walls on a boat are called bulkheads, either longitudinal (fore and aft) or horizontal (athwartship). Most athwartship (side to side) bulkheads are considered structural or necessary to the integrity of the boat.

Love tour attitude! Work hard, play hard! Keep them comming! And you are right; if you want, you can learn anything!) 💪 greets from Amsterdam.
  • The buzzers going off when you start your engines sounds like the music of a snake charmer

Thanks for your videos. I did the trip three times and really enjoy seeing the scenery again.

Glad you’re headed to Vero, spend many days in the waters of Vero growing up. Really enjoy what you’re doing, as mentioned in other comments looking forward to the refurb videos.

Lots of work ahead. It's going to be interesting. Your boat is beautiful. I like those old boats because they look like.. Boats! Recent boats are looking like spacecrafts, they don't make me dreaming much.

Great content, just what the Captain ordered. Got me hooked with the floor rehab also. See ya next show Skipper.
  • did the same tour via car a couple of years ago with my parents and today i found your channel doing something i always dreamed about since🥺thanks, love it. cheers from germany👍

I love that you try stuff - 'don't anyone tell you 'no'...:) That's awesome! I also love that you show your adventure ALL the way - through All of your experiences, mistakes and good stuff! That's what life is all about Dude and you do it well! This is how we learn - by watching others. So anyway - keep on boating - we'll keep watching! As always! Oh ya! You're right outside of Hobe Sound Beach - I've been there. It's nice and secluded, like you said.

Hey Gus. LOVE the series! On your next stop in Jupiter, make some time to do some drift diving. Jupiter is one of the premier dive locations in Florida. Always plenty of wildlife on the reefs. Probably the best dive boat I've been on docks at the Square Grouper restaurant (great burgers!). Look for the big red boat. Can't wait for your next video. Cheers!

Good job Young Man. Even an old guy can learn from you youngsters. Keep it going! 👍
  • Damn Gus, I've done flips out of airplanes, ridden motorcycles over 140 mph, been offshore in big seas without a problem but you just made me dizzy on this video! lmao! No need for apologies, I've seen your other replies. Lovin what you do!!! 🤣👍

Finishing floors (or any other wood) is all about patience and paying attention to detail. Sand it all smooth, make whatever repairs you need to, get ALL the sawdust, apply stain if desired, varnish. Once dry, lightly sand to make the varnish smooth, clean up all the sawdust and varnish again. Repeat until desired layers of varnish are applied. Easy idea, but lots of effort and time consuming. But, if it's done right, it results in something beautiful.

I ain't in a rush and you miss every opportunity you don't take... words of wisdom right there for sure, wish I had that much sense when I was that age. I didn't slow down to smell the flowers until I was past sixty. good clip
