The E Ink technology is actually a body wrap which, when stimulated with electrical signals, uses electrophoretic technology to change the pigment of its surface. At the moment, it only seems the technology can change color from white to black, as it uses negatively charged white pigments and positively charged black pigments, allowing the electrical signals to choose which are shown. It’s actually a technology similar to that used in eReaders.
We wanted to learn more about the BMW iX Flow color changing car so we spoke with Dr. Stella Clarke, the project lead of the BMW iX Flow. Dr. Clarke explains the details behind this project, along with some other interesting tidbits. We also asked what's the BMW iX Color Change price.

We go behind the scenes to learn more about the BMW color changing car. Would you like to see this technology in a production car?
-
As a professional "Robber" I can say this is a game changer.
-
The interviewer is so good
-
You should be able to write on it. That would be quite cool. The whole car could be digital livery or advertisement. You could also use it as "hand signals" telling other drivers what you think if their driving
-
This is mind-blowing, sounds like 2022 future sci-fi movie
-
Absolutely love it!! Can imagine putting that technology on a house!!😍😍😍
-
I wish they could change the grills too
-
You were asking all the questions I had lol! so thank you 🙌🏼🤗
-
My hot wheels changed color in 1990s and needed no electronics, just hot/cold water.
-
This got to be the biggest "happening" for this new year and we're only a week in.
-
Excellent interview - thank you so much for asking all the right questions!
-
Pretty sure this tech would be banned in many countries. Imagine using it to avoid police chase, or people causing accidents by distracting other drivers with the constant color change.

So what's happens when you ding your car and need a touch up? Do stone chips affect it at all?
-
i'm not commenting often but this well spoken woman clearly master in her field impressed me. really knowledgeable +1 from me.
-
You asked .. how much does it cost to WRAP a car with this? Is it an Electroluminiscent foil or is it really an e-ink / e-paint on the car itself? Or is it an e-ink on foil, wrapped on the car??
-
really nice BMW, mate🔥 Thumbs up KUKI
-
This is an amazing technology that can be used in many different ways, such as helping other drivers around your car with the color sensor to see how close they are to it by lighting up red color or something, to reduce driving accidents🌺

Great interview

There is a reason why I am in love with this brand 😍
