āœØHey guys, thank you for watching!āœØ After all the comments on my ''Food Logic'' video I had to do an additional video about food! And guess what? There's still so many things that I wanted to touch on! So it's gonna come later on in future videos. Also does someone else remember their sims having difficulties using chopsticks for the first times in TS4 or am I tweaking? ā–ŗ Like & subscribe if you don't mindāœŒ Timestamps : 0:08 Detail #1 Microwave 2:00 Detail #2 Mixers 4:25 Detail #3 Food packagings 5:10 Detail #4 Baking process 5:57 Detail #5 Ustensils 6:40 Detail #6 Raw ingredients 7:19 Detail #7 Cooking together 7:37 Detail #8 Stoves 8:47 Detail #9 Snacking bowls 9:04 Detail #10 Barbecue grill Who do you think has the best details? Comment down below! In my opinion every game has some nice touches, even TS4 despite having way less details!

The mixer thing is one of the reasons I really enjoy the sims 3. When you buy higher quality items, it makes life easier for your sim (faster cooking, faster driving)

Although Sims 4 allows "group cooking" it doesn't look like they are cooking together. Just multiple Sims working on a cooking animation in different counters. It doesn't look like the food is prepared faster when more Sims working on the same food. Sims don't even talk to each other in a group activity!

its a random thing, but I love that in ts3 they can just grill any ingridient, it's so perfect for surviving challanges, and it's more realistic that they can just grill any fish they caught

So I'm curious... why did EA go from more realistic looking sims to cartoony sims in 4? The loss of detail.
  • @TheMya1988
I will give an extra point to Sims 3 for their more efficient mixer, however Sims 2 definitely has the most realistic cooking animations overall. Also, in Sims 2, when children use chopsticks with the chinese take out, they use them like spoons (a nice added touch). Another aspect, the reason outdoor grills will set fire inside, because there are indoor grills (which still can catch fire, with low cooking skill, or left unattended), but those meant to be outdoors, need an open environment (hence, realism kicks in here). If you were to add in cooking in Sims 1, you will find another umique feature, the most comical, yet realistic sounds sims make when preparing and cooking food. But even adding in Sims 1, Sims 2's overall attention to details have been surpassed by none.

The whole turkey on the poker took me out lol!
  • Actually there is a mini oven in TS4 I forget which EP it came with but there is one now :)
  • In the sims 4 sims do not all know how to use chopsticks, it is a hidden skill that can be gained and they earn a trait I believe called chopstick master after a certain amount of time using them. This came with Snowy Escape
