Sims 2 vs Sims 3 vs Sims 4 - Cars Logic

This video is all about Cars Logic in the different sims games! So fasten your seatbelt, buckle up and let's compare Cars in The Sims 2, The Sims 3 & The Sims 4!🚗

The Sims 2 :
By far the best cars of the series, fully animated and implemented.

The Sims 3 :
An open world that clearly compliment having cars in a game!

The Sims 4 :
Still no cars in sight after nearly 10 years, despite all the teasing they do in recent worlds...

So which game has the best Cars Logic in your opinion?

I still prefer having magical cars rather than not having cars at all

I think another detail worth mentioning for sims 2 is the fact that you can drive kids to school or carpool to work with other sims
  • @spyfreakm1
Heres something you forgot for sims 3: the only one to have cars in the base game instead of an expansion pack.

The reason Sims 3 cars are the way they are is because the open world would quickly become too real – introducing bad traffic and no downtown parking (or worse – giant parking lots and highways in the downtown). Which is why a Sims 3 car conveniently fits in the sim’s backpack. I think they made the right call.

"I introduce you to the next generation of THE SIMS" I always laugh in this part LOL

the reason why the sims 3 is like that is because in the sims 3, lots don't have to be attached to the road. But in the sims 2, in order to place a lot, it had to be on the road. It's why they could animate the cars driving away and stuff.

HAHAHA! I love how you did the "cars in sims 4" parts! AHAHAHA! XD
  • At least Sims 3 had cars lol, the logic of them is comical however, Sims 2 wins for the most realistic :D
  • @Nakihari
it's so weird how instead of making them better, they decided to get rid of them altogether :'(
  • The Sims 2's cars is an example of how that game is best in the franchise.

Maybe it's good that Sims 3 misses out some details, otherwise it would be probably not playable at all even with the fixing mods. Sure is Sims 2 the winner of details and animations again but I still prefer the posibilities you have in Sims 3 in a whole with the open world system

Cars in The Sims 3 aren't really objects (at least they aren't treated as objects when Sims use them), but a part of the LOCOMOTION system. That's why they teleport to the road, they phase objects, and there aren't any real physics coded. They were done like that in order to speed things up for the open world. They had to sacrifice some realism, but it makes sense. If The Sims 4 had been an improvement over The Sims 3, they could have kept the open world and make cars more realistic, with things such as car accidents and traffic jams. But as we know, The Sims 4 simply decided to go back to Sims 2 closed world, without the attention to detail that made Sims 2 so special.

When I saw the title of the video I knew what was coming for the TS4 section... I'm excited to introduce you to the next generation of The Sims. This is Gold, and I am glad that I haven't wasted any money on this shit.

Sims 2 for the win . I don't understand why they didn't put cars in 4 or why they started with babies like the original Sims .
  • @TheMya1988
Sims 2 is best overall. The little details matter. I remember my first experience playing the Sims 3, I went to the diner (in my old lemon), standing in the parking lot befire entering, another sim began to chat with me, while a car parks on top of me, as I continue to chat with the other sim. It was so hilarious! 🤣 Of course, even Sims 4 fans would like to see even Sims 3's illogical vehicles, than the set dressing vehicles. Even Sims 1 had transportation vehicles for sims (although they could not operate them). School buses, work vehicles, taxis, etc. all first appeared in Sims 1, so that makes Sims 4 dead last for vehicle transportation (imo, Sims 4 is dead last overall).

It's pretty safe to say sims 2 was massively ahead of it's time and it's so incredible sad.
  • @newguy500
I really hate how in The Sims 4 there are cars running around, making it feel like a open world, when it really isn't and it makes you kinda sad
