Why did this not post as a short? References can seriously improve the way artists tackle poses✨im also guilty of not using them unless I’m STRUGGLING so I feel u 100%

me: spending hours saving thousands of references and organizing my Pinterest reference folders also me: never using any of them ;)

Using references is actually sometimes better than drawing without references.Of course,if you don't trace it.'Cause tracing isn't a good idea to improve with poses and other stuffs in art.

yes omg references have helped me so much!! i didn’t use any until last year and my art has improved a lot since then

for me, i mostly draw at school now. but recently i had to draw something for a fundraiser, and i had to draw a boy. i thought i’d suck at drawing boys, but i did better than i thought! and yes… i used references😂
