It's a beauty. Yes, it does look like rubber band toning. You can dip it in EZ Est for just a second and it will disappear quicker than tacos on a Tuesday night.

Hi PTP. As a coin conservationist for a local coin shop, I find your coin presents some challenges. Silver dip MIGHT remove the tarnish and leave the coin looking quite fresh, or it might leave a whitish scar where the tarnish has eaten into the coin. It all depends on the nature of the tarnish. If caused by a rubber band, the outcome might not be so good. I have three '96's, which I have graded as MS69, 66 and 65. They were tough to find up here in the north woods. I have a complete collection of ASE's from 1986 to 2021 and many duplicates, especially 2008, where many rolls came my way, (I recently traded over 160 ASE's and other coins for gold, metal for metal at the GSR). If silver prices stay high or increase, the design change may be a good cut off point as gold seems to be easier with lower premiums. You should have fun completing that series and then you can work on Maples, which are cheaper especially in the USA.
  • It will be a fun project to fill out your album! Sure it is that you paid a good premium, but the enjoyment of fulfilling the series is worth the price of admission. I fear I have become more and more a stacker and not a collector. The lure of completing a set, or having a high grade just does not interest me as much as it did just a few years ago. And I think my heirs will be even less interested than I am. Yeah, it used to be exciting to get the next Zombuck, or God of Olympus, or Lunar. Now for me it just seems ounces matter. Perhaps it's my age taking over, but I think soon I will be selling off some of the 4 to 10 year old collectible silver now and just putting the $ toward ounces. Thanks for the video! Good Luck and God Bless!

She ain't too bad- it's a BU ASE stacked for silver and not numismatic value-right? Keep stacking sir- smashed the like button!
