I have been through a lot the past few years, everyone in the world has. i lost someone i loved dear to me. a person that cared about everyone. this song made me think about it today. this song made me want to start trying to be a person i thought i would never become before. i wish i could see the person i lost, but that doesn't mean that i can just give up. thank you from the bottom of my heart, this song helped me more then you can think. so i thank you for making this song. at the moment i wrote this i am tearing up. but it doesn't matter. because all i feel now is the joy of still being hear and living a life i hope i can keep. thank you, Lumineers. thank you!

I'm here at sunset on a Sunday in ruidoso by a lake wondering if I'll ever get the gift of being a father. 35 with no kids no wife. Put work an family in front of my own life goals. Heard this song while my nephew was watching storks awhile back. Went home read the lyrics an got deeper into the song. Just made me tear up. Followed by a concert in Dallas opening for U2, an the album of Cleopatra change my life an I have hope. It might be an ounce of it. But I believe. Thank you lumineers for giving me that hope. That i won't be with mr. Whiteshoes. That I'll be given the gift of love family an peace. I'll keep the porch light on hoping...love you guys thank you.
