  • When doing layers best way to fill in the layers is to color lightly in opposite directions between layers it will give you more coverage in less layers, especially if using cheaper pencils when wax bloom will build up fast. Also using a solvent like mineral spirits will help blend smoother but also help break down the wax.

I can't tell you how instructional it is for me to see applications being used in real time. I understand the necessity for speeding up projects due to time. But I really like to see the techniques used to achieve the different results. Very helpful, thank you.
  • I like using cotton swabs to blend colour pencils too! I also recommend solvent (a nail polish remover works fine too!) for blending. I love how it makes everything look more saturated and smooth :)

I'm just starting to color again and I'm so glad I came across your channel. You're instructions were clear and you have the most calm voice. I may even listen to this when I'm struggling to sleep at night. Weird, I know. Lol! You should venture into making bedtime stories for insomniacs. 🤔

Thank you for this tutorial. I’ve used colored pencils for a long time and too often I find myself applying too much pressure. I think I will try taking a little break more often and have a cup of tea or something then return to the drawing.
