In singapore we have no tolerance for drug dealers. Its death penalty for them. This is why my country is clean n homelessness is almost unseen of. We do have but they are given shelters n support grp . I am glad we stood firm in our harsh punishment against drugs

I lived in a third world country and have never seen our streets like that. I have recently loss my brother through a natural cause (aneurysm) and it came as a shock to all of us as he isn’t sick at all, it was devastating. Life is fleeting like that and can just be taken in an instant. Hopefully these people can turn their life around for the better. Praying for all of them struggling. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
  • All the while I thought life in Canada is so beautiful but watching this makes me its better in my country.

I don't see a homeless problem in this video, I see a drug problem.
  • Can’t believe the scale off homelessness in Vancouver, In my early 20s spent a few years there in the mid eighties, and when I wasn’t in a detox, rehab, halfway house, or Jail, Welfare helped me out with a hotel on Granville street, I think it was called Les Sands, I was mostly in Alcohol oblivion, all I wanted to do was drink,i remember homelessness, but nothing like this. 58 now an sober for many years, Thank God 👏
  • Ugh… looks like my city… San Francisco. What a shame. Drugs have taken over in Vancouver too!
  • Wow.. Haven't been in Vancouver for it must be 26 years now.. This is a far cry from the Vancouver that I remember.. And this is a thing that is growing in many places around the world. Maybe human is not as intelligent as he likes to believe 🙏🏼

  • It’s so sad & heart breaking! The Canadian Govt should address this issue ASAP

Amazing content and interesting video contrast the touristy area vs the homeless. Good job of capturing the truth.

This was a real eye-opener! I thought that Seattle, Portland, San Francisco/Oakland, Los Angeles, San Diego, and Chula Vista, all down the USA West Coast, not to mention Chicago and the Atlantic Coast, was bad enough! This, in Vancouver, Canada, was/is even worse than I imagined! Homelessness, mental health issues and drugs! Most of these folks were/are Colonial/European Immigrants/Settlers in the past, hoping for a better/different life... and people still want to immigrate/move to the USA and Canada! The mind boggles! A lost cause! I thank my lucky stars that I was born an Ancient Briton/Anglo-Saxon, in 1934, and live a happy life in England, where I will stay! I see no end to all this misery abroad!
  • Vancouver's East Hastings has been like this for decades. I've heard that the contagion has been spreading to rest of the city in recent years.
  • Wow, what a huge change from Light to Darkness. I'm from California, in 1986 my family and I attended the Vancouver Expo '86 and I fell in love right away because it is too safe where children can play outside without parental supervision. I dreamed of moving to Vancouver in particular 'cause we have relatives there who then move to SF Bay Area so I did not pursue my plan. I was shocked to see the beautiful, safe Vancouver, Canada is now similar to Los Angeles and San Francisco. But there is still hope if those irresponsible Leaders be kicked out of their power. But it sure needs our prayers for Divine Intervention.
  • Thank you. Was looking for my brother I heard he went homeless. Going broke is easy. I lost the ability to live indoors when I got sick in BC, but I hoped a bus to less expensive Quebec. Born in North Vancouver My father lived on skid row on the 1990s but no one slept on the sidewalks. I wish BC well, but they have been taken over by demons. Families who allow their loved ones to live on the streets deserve eternal hell. Judge not, lest ye be judged.

The last time I visited Vancouver was about 25 years ago. It was then a beautiful city, safe and clean.
