A bipartisan border bill that was shot down in Congress in February is expected to be back on the Senate floor for another vote later this week. This time around, the bill is standalone, not tied to aid for Ukraine or Israel. The bill was negotiated earlier this year by Arizona Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (I), Connecticut Sen. Chris Murphy (D), and Oklahoma Sen. James Lankford (R). The main highlights of the bill, according to Senator Sinema back in February, provide a speedier process for true asylum seekers, increase the number of detention beds, and hire more Border Patrol agents to process people quicker.

Don't need another law it's already against the law to come in illegally.

Ah election years. Lets completely ignore the problem until an election year and then pretend now they care. 🤦‍♂️
  • Implement the deportation law. If politicians don't know the law, they should not be in office.

B S again and not a fix. just a kick in the teeth to the USA

They might vote on something, but will do exactly nothing.

There's no border bill needed . Just close the border and let President Trump sort them out.😅
  • Protecting our borders and international trade is the only reason the people formed a government over 250 yrs ago. What is the bill for? The obligation of fending for our borders is already delegated and expected

Strictly window dressing. This bill is dead already.

I’m old enough to remember when Dems was saying 6 billion for a wall was wayyyyy too expensive

A border bill is extraneous.. Just enforce the laws already on the books.
  • No bill is needed. Existing laws need to be enforced. The FJB admin is bringing these people here on purpose. This bill is a red herring.
  • These employees have one duty on the homeland. Protect the borders and it seems to be the only thing they can't do. Get out of everyone else's business and take care of your actual obligated duties to perform... Not to is sedition
