☠TIRED OF STRUGGLING TO SING HIGH? You should try singing drunk 🥁 No, for real: are you stuck in one specific note of your vocal range and unable to increase it? Scared of your voice cracking in the most important note? This all ends today. Stop driving yourself crazy with even more confusing and subjective singing instruction (lah lah lah lah lip trills 😐) because a SCIENTIFIC framework for singing exists - and it will have you singing all your favorite songs, without lowering their key, in a matter of HOURS. Yep, it's that insane. Just visit www.crazysinging.com/

I saw an interview with Steve albini and he said kurt recorded all vocals for in utero in a single recording session
  • @heirrose1606
He sang every song like it was his last That sound of urgency is what makes the songs so powerful
  • Bro’s voice was like a super power that drained his life force with each use
  • @tompayton84
How Corey Taylor didn’t blow his voice out in Iowa is a mystery
  • @andyscott5277
Kurt’s voice is like Hunter S. Thompson’s drug intake: something to admire with sick fascination but not emulate.

Yet he could play a 20 song live set with incredible intensity
  • Hearing him sing Where Did You Sleep Last Night made me cough up blood! What a lot of voice & passion from that slight body.
  • @Nedwin
Kurt was so genuine. That made him special. If you are asking about vocal technique, then go listen to Celine Dion or Andrea Bocelli. You talk about Nirvana, a band vocalist.

Legends never die! Over 30 years and videos come out ever single day talking about an aspect of why Kurt was just different. Truly one of the eternals of music

I think Kurt’s voice ( bad technique or not) was exactly what made his songs so memorable and real! When he screamed, you felt it in your soul! He wasn’t just singing. He was exorcising the hell he was living. This authentic and raw emotion is what makes music so powerful! One of the most beautiful examples of this was the last few bars of “where did you sleep last night?” When the camera pans to his face and you see it contorted in pain and fury, man it gave me friggin goose bumps! It’s still does when I see it! Sure it wasn’t his song but, you know he was truly meaning those words. I will forever miss him and Nirvana and am incredibly great full that I was a 16 year old that had my own struggles and that their music soothed my confusion and teen anxiety! ❤👍

All these guys in the 90’s were real trail blazers. They just did it! Struggled but eventually overcame and did their thing in a more safe way eventually… through trial and error. I learned the same way… you have to throw caution to the wind in most cases to be able to learn how to do aggressive vocals. There’s a LOT of info on how to do those aggressive vocals in a more safe way… but even 10 years ago the info was so scarce… honestly all the exercises didn’t really work for me… I had to push through some pain and struggle in order to get the sound I want. Honestly I still don’t believe that there exists a perfect exercise that will get you to sound the way you like to sound. I think emotion plays a huge role in learning these techniques. It’s not by doing just doing the scales you learn… I know it may work for some but it never did for me

Wonder if it was the same tape James Hatfield got and still uses to this day.
  • @jochem420
if Kurt didnt die he wouldnt have been able to sing for a long time
  • @billmoss2877
He developed his own thing. He was his own man. He was an original unto himself. This is the very definition of self actualization. Most of us will not be remembered past a generation or two. He did well in his time on Earth and his memory will endure.
  • You would cough up blood with severe stomach acid issues and heroine use too. And no he didn't blow his voice after one session, he recorded entire albums in one go

I still think it’s pretty crazy how he basically was self taught, at guitar and singing, and he was that amazing. Really makes me jealous. I’ve been trying to teach myself guitar for 7 months, I see definite improvements, but damn, it’s harder than I thought.
