Crosman 2240 HPA PCP BUDGET GUN Field test plus updates to shroud

Published 2017-05-05
In this video I test the BUDGET BOSS & BOSS gun (powerlet eliminator guns) at the shooting range. 30 yards and 50 yards. It was way too windy to test out to 90 yards. the BUDGET GUN was upgraded to a 18" barrel from a 14" now shooting 800FPS Plus I made a NEW shroud from PVC pipe and it is more quite than my Kalibrgun Cricket.

Thank you for sharing your videos regarding converting crosman guns to pcp; they helped me figure out what I needed to convert my .177 victory cp2 and .22 diana chaser to pcp and while I currently have ONE set to take either pcp or co2, I fully intend to have both configured as such with personalised stocks. I'm pleased with the results so far :D Keep up the good work :D

Really enjoy your older crosman vids.
  • Very likable young fellow! Highly informative. I am going to buy the 2240 from Crossman Custom after X-Mas.

I had a problem with my gun also and the pellets spiraling out of control. It had something to do with the alinement of the shroud. I took shroud off and gun was much more accurate. I found that the pellets were clipping the washers inside the shroud. I rebuilt shroud and made sure everything was alined and it shot well after that.

Great Video, thanks for sharing. We can learn a lot from someone like you. I'm no expert on Air Rifles, but I was told that the reason for those bad short groups at first, was that the barrel needed to acclimate itself to the pellet being used.

My apologies.... for asking too many questions...on the shrouds.... But I think you answered my question about the way you put the Shroud using PVC in this video,... I had just asked about it when you made the First shroud on the gun that previously had a TKO on it.. but Thank You
  • Awesome video Steven I would buy one of those hand made guns from you very koo and accurate gun thanks for sharing bsafe

I saw a video in Youtube where a Guy hade installed the Hipac. The screw that holds the valve gave Up and the valve blew out and he hot it far in His thigh. He showed the hole. IF you install a hipac first drill and thread so you have 2 more screws that holds it. One on opposite side of the valve.

  • Thankyou very much for your time and effort. Very instructional videos. I've made a shroud that works very well and is low budget. I would like to send you some photos if you would like.
