Lip service is good, hopefully its actually getting to the workers, if you see someone outside in the cold ask if they need or offer them shelter, food, especially the bathroom, etc, they are there helping you and your family!

Many years ago, a tree crew came around once a year during Spring, Summer or Fall on a nice day and trimmed branches away from power lines. We almost never suffered a power outage during the annual or semi-annual ice storm. That worked so well that city council stopped doing it. I feel so sorry for those workers, now having to go out in the worst of conditions because council's decisions make it an (unnecessary) wide-spread emergency. Oh well. We get the city council that the activists want with such low voter turnout in local elections. "Don't touch the trees to save the planet." Trees are more important than people, but keep Austin weird even if some current policies can kill us.

Gee.... it's so cold in Austin. Try fixing lines in Michigan and Wisconsin during the winter.

Austin sucks that's the messed up side of Texas very unfortunate, but the brave men and women who do live there ,God bless them .
